Just flipping only gets you about 5 inches. You'll need drop shackles to get 7 in the rear, and at that point you will want to C notch.

Didn’t look like you lined up the front coil springs in the crossmember pocket. They have to be clocked a certain way to seat correctly.

You will have to see notched no doubt at all. I do fifty to sixty of them a year and you will bottom out believing your driveway my friend

I have always had to in the past as well. We were fully expecting to have too, but I don't know this truck sits really high for some reason. I know it'll go down some with the bed on it. But it still has six inches right now before it touches. Maybe its a heavy half Or something IDK. Some one else said that 1981 had some odd thing about the frame as well. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
