Whoever decided that Elvis was not the first one inducted into the Hall of Fame in my opinion not the sharpest crayon in the box if you know what I mean. why would you have a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and not let Elvis be the first one in. He legitify the Hall of Fame. Everyone else can only follow Elvis, he was the first and has time has proven the greatest of all time.

Dear Mister Dean, The induction was done by alphabetical order. If you go to the Rock ' N' Roll Hall Fame they are not hesitant to state the truth that he was The King Of Rock 'N' Roll. The historical flaw without a doubt was that Bill Haley And The Comets weren't inducted the very first year. God Bless, Eric Galati

@@aristoboho6012 my apologies I did read read your comment I still do not necessarily agree with you however you were just explaining why it is the way it is. I guess I was just having a bad day do you remember the movie Forrest Gump him and Jenny made up at the Washington Mall and then his genuis and goodbye the guy that farted got into a fight with at the Black Panther party and he was trying to apologize to Jenny and he said it was just that son-of-a-b**** and G d Johnson lies and in the Vietnam War. It's a long and drawn-out way avni trying to say it's this Biden Administration and this jeedai recession. LOL LOL of course I'm playing. Sometimes we get on here and we forget we're actually talking to other humans and we go too far. However I'm not one of those LOL LOL LOL I truly apologize. The 80's era was preoccupied with itself and very much doing its best to leave behind all that came with the past. George Klein was trying his best to drive home the Elvis phenomenon to the hardly responsive yuppy audience. Nearly four decades later in 2022, Elvis the movie is one of the biggest box office hits of the year, with a message of who Elvis Presley really was. His legendary name cannot fade away.

If you want proof that fame and fortune didn't change Elvis, he met George in high school when they were about 15 years old. When Elvis was just another kid at just another high school. When Elvis died George was one of Elvis' best friends, if not his absolute best friend. George was there before anyone knew Elvis, and he was still there when the world cried that we'd lost Elvis. Tells you everything you need to know about the man, the person, and the human being Elvis was.

Godspeed, George. Thank you for being a good and faithful friend to Elvis. George Klein (October 8, 1935 - February 5, 2019), born in Memphis, Tennessee, was an American disc jockey, and television host. He met Elvis Presley in the eighth grade at Humes High School in North Memphis, and they remained friends until Presley's death in 1977.

Why is it that the music award industry never acknowledges Elvis? I never could understand that? Elvis is the KING of all music genre. The music awards should acknowledge his anniversary every now and then. Also,I've never heard a pop singer or any singer ever sing Elvis songs. Why?? Jealousy? In The Ghetto, If I Could Dream,You Gave Me A Mountan Mountain,Polk Salad omg his vocals ,his looks, everything about him was no one to compare him to. Elvis was a blessing and a curse. He stood alone then,he stands alone today. No one has been able to touch him.

Elvis was a great singer beautiful voice But he was not a good musician As he said himself he only knew a few chords. He never did a solo or intro with a guitar and if you see him playing piano it is funny. But he had beautiful face.... The king of rock n roll piano is chuck berry The kings of rock n roll piano are jerry lee lewis and little richard. And there are two inclassable and fantastic men fats domino and ray charles. People who like playing or singing or dancing rock n roll know that it is more difficult to play to dance or sing on a jerry lee or little richard s song than on an elvis one. It is an evidence.

You are so right, God had a chat with Elvis , and they made deals and agreements. Elvis was here to share and spread the love our Creator has for us. No one pays attention to the little people, it takes someone mighty important for people to take notice and care. May be the trade off was ,Prescription drugs are a problem son. take it to the forefront while you are there.

This was hardly a proper induction for Elvis. Yes, his good friend inducted him and that is a fact but let us be honest. He should have another induction with every known alive name to acknowledge him. The fact that this has not yet been done or coordinated makes Elvis even larger. And still this star in the dark sky glows bigger every year. Truly.

Only ONE BILLION RECORDS

I met George quite some years ago at an elvis promotion he invited me to at the hard rock cafe here in the big apple. The jordaires were there, Gordon Stoker is such a nice guy. Met Carl Perkins there too. I do think George was pushing some of the stuff a bit too strongly, like elvis record sales. Yes 1 billion records easy and, I already expalined why but, I understand his passion for his great friend elvis and, all. But, I see what some people might mean. I get pretty emotional about the people I idolize and, admire too. Only an egomaniac doesn't really have any heros or, claim they never learned from anybody. 'WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE'.

George was a helluva nice guy. I talked with him at a couple of Memphis bars back in the nineties and would speak to him at the grocery store toward his latter years. I always wanted to ask him Elvis questions, but just never did.

Nobody to this day has sold a billion records. If you have any brains you will know. Its neither possible. And more importantly it cannot be PROVEN. I have worked in the auditing industry. All record labels hype things up. Nobody. Not ElVIS, NOT THE BEATLES NOT JACKSON has even sold 600 million records. I assure you. AMERICA is the biggest market. An artist will sell most of their records in just two countries. THE U.S AND THE UK. From there its downhill. 50% of a popular artists sales take place in those two countries. So heres the reality. Elvis barely sold 20 million in the UK. And 200 million in the U.S. If we are being generous. We double that total. And you are closer to the true number. So Elvis actual numbers are somewhere between 4 to 5 hundred million. Still a staggering amount..but a far cry from the lies about 1.5 billion. Thats always been a lie. The same holds true for the Beatles and Jackson. And dont quote any B.S about the guiness book of records. They are clusless. They just go with the generic belief floated by the record LABEL. But they cannot verify the number. Its like the like thar Elvis sold 20 millon records a week after he died. NO HE DIDNT. If that had been true he would have beem the best selling artist of 1977/78. He wasnt. Again its record label hype. Sure he sold alot more than he had been selling. Several million. But nowhere close to 20 million a week.

Elvis had sold 600 million by 65’ i saw a watch inscribed by RCA with that amount records sold, so giving that he died 12 years later and people still buy his records to this day it’s certainly plausible that he has sold at least 1 Billion records maybe more.
