You had better luck than I did. My ‘87 951 sat in my garage for 13 years. The fuel got clogged in the fuel strainer, and I ended up changing, strainer, pump, filter, damper, and regulator. When changing the strainer, I had a big issue with that. Anyone who worked on the strainer knows about the issues that comes with it. After all was fixed, I’ve been driving around for 3 - 4 years (intermittently) and now I’m finally getting the timing and balance shaft belts replaced with water pump at same time (scheduled end of September). I’ve had the car since 1991 and have never changed the belts. Bought the car with 18K miles on it and now have 75K mikes on it. And yes, I’m paranoid that it’ll break, but I have no symptoms of wear and tear. But everyone says get it done. Btw, I see you’ve got those pin stripes around your car. My 951 have them too. Mine are two tone, hand painted. A common practice in the 80’s (pin stripes).

Awesome to see! now I'd replace your belts before revving it much more after sitting for so long, these cars love to break timing belts

Didn’t hear you mention a timing/balance shaftbelt change. After sitting for ten years, you’re a muuuuch braver man than I. Beautiful car, though. Blue looks incredible. Sure others will also comment once the video gets out that those look like the original fuel lines. Plans for the car?
