Almost done. In this video I'm installing the head, setting the cam timing, and starting to hook up the EFI stuff.

I see you never had to remove the water pump. Do you by any chance know the torque for the nuts and bolts ? Thanks

I pulled mine off at top dead center on cylinder number 4 i installed it with cam gear down but the way the old one came off. Is this ok still to do?

Yeah, just a bit more work than necessary. Once the head is off, there is no difference between TDC on 1 and 4. As long as the marks line up you're good!

Do you have to clean the block sand it for the new head and head gasket? Also how did this hold up?
@TheAlexManVideos Жыл бұрын
I just cleaned it as best I could with a razor blade. Truck never overheated so no real cause for alarm or worry about the deck not being flat. Engine held up fine. I ended up pulling it out to put in a long block from 22RE Performance. The engine I worked on in this video was torn down, machined, and rebuilt to go in my Pickup. That video is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqjUo6Wra6aHd6s

Next time use brick steel like Lapping block use 180 sandpaper lapped Both surface then clean it then put gasket on because the block and head Could be bent Helps the gasket to stick properly both surface
