4Runner CanBack Soft Top in a Touch-Free (High Pressure) Car Wash (Old Footage)

Here's some old never before seen AlexMan footage. This is from a while back when I tried taking my 1987 4Runner through the automatic carwash with a CanBack soft top. Enjoy

I have the Can-Back brand and it is definitely superior to the other brands. I'm not sure if they make one that fits Pickups. It's pricey, but if you can justify the cost it's nice. Personally, I love it for a first gen 4Runner since it allows fairly easy open back access. For a Pickup, though, I'd honestly rather have a hard camper shell for security and a better seal from the elements. Soft tops on Pickups don't really appeal to me.

glad to see you still posting. since your ds80 videos i bought one rebuilt one and nearly died on one and sold it :D have you tried those do it yourself powerwash stations much better than the drive thru they dont get much

Yeah, I liked the DS80. It was a fun little bike. Gotta love little 2 strokes. I'm not sure why I sold mine. I usually wash my cars/trucks by hand at home. Sometimes I'll use the touch free like when I was in college away from home. I never use the ones with the paint scratchers (a.k.a. brushes). This trip to the car wash was purely for entertainment.
