The 1987 World Netball Championships were held in Scotland. A total of 17 national teams competed. The winning team was New Zealand, who won every game they played at the tournament. Australia and Trinidad & Tobago finished equal second.

The umpiring back then was pathetic.... any little or soft contact was penalised...the 3 second was more a 2 second rule
