I listened to my talking alf cassette hundreds of times. EVERYBODY'S BEAUTIFUL TO SOMEONE, WHOEVER THEY MAY BE.

I loved Alf it was a massive guilty pleasure for me, felt it was an early attempt at 2 level humour kids/adults as you make reference to John. Really enjoyed very fond memories! Cheers Dan.

thats awesome man, i had one when i was a kid, but my lil cousin went to town on it one day and destoried him. I still have my original 18inch, hes in very good shape, no stains, his fur is still pretty awesome. I took care of him, he never really left my room. I also never washed him in the washing machine, which a lot of friends that had him mothers would wash them. I remember seeing my buddies after it was washed and it looked like shit lol. I usally just combed him and cleaned him with a damp cloth, even back then lol. This past weekend at a antique shop in toronto canada, i found a very mint 16inch version for 12 bucks!!! glad to have added him. Got another vintage 18inch coming to me next week, another local find, this one is very super clean as well. These things were made to test time, wish the newer plush toys would stand the test of time like Alf did. Great job with the review man! keep it up!

I remember collecting all four of those Burger King ALF plushes. Every time we'd pass a Burger King, I'd tug on my mom 'cause I wanted to complete the set. McDonald's may have had iconic Happy Meal toys like those Changeables (so awesome), but I always loved Burger King more, and back in the 1980s, I remember we got quite a few cool items from them that you would buy seperately: ALF plushies, Masters of the Universe cups and those amazing Star Wars glasses (I only remember having the Empire Strikes Back ones, though).

lol my dad (or my uncle) even had an ALF doll--I think he gave it to my sister who was a baby/toddler at the time of the run--but I don't think it was the one that talked. I was turning 1 when the show ended and didn't see an episode until I was 11. Now, thanks to reruns, I love it and I have all 4 seasons (the UNCUT versions from Europe). So this is similar to Teddy Ruxpin? Never had one but I definitley know what they are. And wow . . . I would be a little creeped out by these types of dolls if I was a kid. Just imagine waking up in the middle of the night and it starts talking by itself.
@Nintendofan-yk4cd10 жыл бұрын
ALF rules! I think my cousin had that same doll. Wasn't really sure if it was the talking doll or a regular doll. I have pretty much all of the dolls that Burger King came out with. Think I only need the "Cookin' with ALF" doll. All of 'em sitting proudly in my room. I have a number of the ALF comics. Those were always fun to read.

Yeah, I remember ALF, who doesn't remember him if you grew up 80's style. I just couldn't ever get into the show, it just came off as too cheesy to me. I would of been a preteen then, maybe I should give it a second chance now that I'm older.

I know what you mean, I kind of get mad at my parents for not teaching me to respect the things they bought me. But, I guess it's not all there fault. lol I had a ton of He-Man toys, which I sold to buy Transformers when they came out. I ended up giving all my toys away to my younger cousin, which he sold at a yard sell, typical story. And I sold my Atari to get a NES, sold my nes to get a SNES, and when I got my SNES I never played my Genesis and sold it for a $100+games to some young kids who went to my church. I now have nothing to show for all of those purchases.
