I never believed this story at all. I wonder if she sent it back so they could test it and determine how it was actually done. If it had to be programmed by the parent to say James, they could have said "kill james" as a name. I'd love to know what they toy manufacturer learned. Was is it done by a consumer or a disgruntled employee. An employee would never know where the doll ended up to put James name in there. Plus, if the batteries were completely dead and taken out, you would think it would erase the data and make someone enter a new name.
