Love this trio. ❤ and I wasn't even born since this came out, but I heard it, and I loved it. ❤

My goodness, but this brings tears to my eyes. Bringing these three women together was an act of genius. Emmylou has the voice of an angel and Linda truly has one of the most beautiful voices of her generation. Dolly is, well, Dolly and the three of them together are simply wonderful.

Great song, written by Phil Spector and first recorded by his group "The Teddy Bears" in 1958, when it hit no. 1 on the Billboard Singles chart. These three ladies and their band give a wonderful performance of the song!

Beautiful sad song. Phil Spector wrote this song about his father who passed away when Phil was young. Phil is the guitarist in the original version by The Teddybears. The line “Everyone says a day will come when I will walk alongside him” takes on a different meaning when considering this.

From their appearance, they look different in style, personality, and character, but have one thing in common: excellent voice and singing. Love it!
@lightonstillwaters67895 жыл бұрын
Another thing they have in common is love for one another, generosity of spirit and action, so they allow each other to burn bright, but without fiery heat, only genltle radiance.

What beautiful harmonies,,,,,.Music is The Universal Language,....The Spirit/Soul/Anima (Italian) of the People and I remember fondly returning to my home in Whyalla from Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney when all friends and neighbours would gather for our summer backyard parties and singalongs and singing for me for my welcome back my much loved song Lilli Marlene in every language... many have passed on now or moved away....but my memories will always remain.

A totally awesome version. Emmylou knocks it out of the park and Linda Ronstadt is just so incredible and then of course dolly is her usual Buxom bold self!

To know, know, know him is to love, love, love him Just to see him smile, makes my life worthwhile To know, know, know him is to love, love, love him And I do I'll be good to him, I'll bring love to him Everyone says there'll come a day when I'll walk alongside of him Yes, just to know him is to love, love, love him And I do Why can't he see, how blind can he be Someday he'll see that he was meant for me

Linda holding back her powerful vocal chords. She could have blown away those two ladies. Linda is a class act
@jamesgibbs69702 жыл бұрын
You got that right. She would have been a better lead vocalist for this song without the country twang sound.

I'm so glad that many of you were not the one that Produce this Twangy Master Piece!!! It quickly went to # one for the Trio!!! It was certified Multi-Platinum and it won the Trio two Grammy awards, and spawned four # one singles!!! I believe evidence show's somebody like it just like it is!!! If you like it listen to it. If you don't, I don't think I would show my ignorance by criticizing this successful Master Piece!

Ego fest . No one was willing to sing the backup part so integral to the Teddy Bears classic song . The part that comes after the " to know , know , know him , is to love , love , love, him ........and I do , YES I DO , and i do , YES I DO . It was more like ," I'm a big star , NO I WON'T . "
