1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS - BARRETT-JACKSON

Lot #688 - This 4th-generation G-body rear-wheel-drive limited-production Monte Carlo SS rolled off the GM Pontiac Assembly plant in 1987. It still has all its original factory tags and badges from the day of delivery to Jay's Pontiac Inc in Coldwater, MI, in December 1987. Optional equipment includes F41 Sport suspension, special SS stripes, aluminum wheels, rear spoiler, limited-slip differential, power front disc brakes, air conditioning, sport mirrors, sport steering wheel, tinted glass, cruise control, tilt steering, an AM/FM stereo and intermittent wipers. Now displaying 244 actual miles on the odometer, this G-body Monte Carlo is offered with two sets of keys, dealer-prep instructions, original Window Sticker, down payment receipt, owner's manual, dealer brochure and delivery inspection checklist. This is a true survivor, with only two owners in the last 32 years. It's powered by a 5.0-liter (305ci) code-L69 8-cylinder engine with Rochester Quadrajet carburetor and produced a factory-rated 180hp when new. The engine features 9.5:1 compression and a camshaft unique to the L69 high-output V8 backed by GM's famous Turbo Hydramatic TH350 automatic transmission with overdrive. The 1988 Monte Carlo would be the last of the midsize Chevys produced until they returned in 1995.

Had an 87 LS . Had great paint, 350 bored, 4spd with posi (vet)rear. Loved that car. Had to sell a few yrs ago. This SS is nice to though.

The 350 tuned port engine from the Iroc Z would have been nice! 327 no longer in production and 454 was truck only by that time!
