Your $700 OBS Ford is now looking more like a $2500 OSB Ford! I sure appreciate your work ethic and economical way of doing things. One the dashboard logo, a cheap fix would be to get a "Sharpie Metallic Gold" and carefully apply to the front flat surfaces. Sure do enjoy your videos.

Thank you so much! It was long and at some times boring scrubbing dirt away hour after hour, but to see the finished result sure is worth it every time. I’ll look into that because I wish I didn’t scrub the chrome paint off. Thanks for watching and the kind words, sure do appreciate it! Take care😀👍

HOLY SMOKES THAT CAME OUT BEAUTIFUL! I am always blown away with how you can take it from that dirty state to showroom clean, that looked like a TON of hard work but it came out so good. Amazing job as always Cody, i really enjoyed this one.

Thanks so much James! I had my doubts wether this one could be saved🤣. It’s definitely not perfect because I had to keep the budget in mind, but really happy with the end product (besides the seats😂🤣) Thanks for watching man, can’t wait to see that Lightning of yours come back to life!

Dude! When you cut to the seat removal, I thought the seat was already removed, and sitting out side in a field. Lol! In my experience as a detailer, you will never stop getting sand out of that carpet. I started removing carpet and replacing it with vinyl wherever possible, and even just running bare steel in some of my rigs.
@ydocproductions55932 жыл бұрын
Haha those seats were pretty rough🤣!!! Ya, to this day there’s still a little sand in the carpet but it’s light years better than before

I bought some kind of material that was a saddle tan brownish color. It’s made for tool boxes and like kitchen cabinets for things to lay on. My dads 97 F350 has blue for his interior so I modeled it after his. I put it on my dash in the recess to put things, in my little storage place under my divers right vent in my 93 F150.

@@3rdcoastobs467 I've noticed that a couple of times, channels that I though I was subscribed to that I no longer am. I started moving my truck video's over to rumble, it would be nice if rumble set something up to auto import all of the content from your KZbin channel to the new platform.

Nice work, glad to see you back in action. Out of curiosity how much would a replacement seat from a junkyard been? Glad you didn’t go the duct tape route, it’s not going to last.
@ydocproductions55932 жыл бұрын
Thank you! It’s hard to say cause different salvage yards have different prices, but I’d guess around $50 if I found one. The one I did find that was the same fabric was just as worn out and someone had placed engine parts on it causing rust stains, so putting that patch on my seat was literally my only option. Thanks for watching😀👍
@Old_Indian_TrickАй бұрын
Could the seats be switched from one side to the other? Then the repair would be on the inside of the passenger side and much less noticeable.
@ydocproductions5593Ай бұрын
That idea probably would’ve worked fine, but more trouble than it was worth. The passenger seat handle that is used to fold forward would’ve been on the wrong side among other things.
@tupacaholic2639 Жыл бұрын
does the rear seat fold? or is it only in that fixed position

@ydocproductions5593 Жыл бұрын
I’m glad you liked the video. They are really great trucks. Easy to work on, parts are relatively cheap, but ride quality isn’t the best. It rides as best as an 80s truck could. Has leaf springs front and rear. It’ll never ride as good as a newer truck. That being said the suspension is as simple as they come. Try to get one that has an overdrive if you want better mileage. Good luck with your truck!😀👍
