I would love to know which judges gave what score to arrive at Shushu's final 9.625 for near hand-down on that first stumble, and that famous butt-slide maneuvre on the second pass. Very original that.

to be honest, i think shushunova was just emotionally drained from the AA. It's incredibly hard to come back a day or so later and be focused. It's why only two women have been able to do it since 76'

DAMN!! 9.625? WTF for Shusonova floor. That's crazy. I scored her routine and (being very generous) a 9.000. So basically they didn't count the errors on the first 2 tumbling passes as falls only as slight stumbles

Well remember the 10 code, a fall was really -.3 deduction. Meaning had she hit her second pass she would have gotten a 9.925 and that’s considering they looked the other way on her first pass meaning they only deducted less than .1😒😒 bad bad judges!

Wow what a nightmarish event finals for Shushunova. She should have won the vault gold easily, and had a great shot at the floor gold, and bombed both bigtime. Even her bars and beam event final performances werent here best but she survived in scores to get about the best results she could on those.

Well Vod, deserved a 10, there was nothing wrong with that routine and that was the best triple twist ive ever seen. that extra .038 would have put her on the podium. Actually, what should have happened was that Bogi should have been given 9.925, which would have been the correct score, and that would have tied her with VOd for bronze, thats how it SHOULD have been

About at that time the Diva effect was absolutely solid and reached the peak at Khorkina's time. It was always such a same to watch the judges, if not corrupted, at least afraid to present a right voting, for fear of being counterjudged as incompetent. The Russians because of their fame had to win. More or less the same happened later on with the Americans.

I agree. Throw in a fourth pass of a double back or a 2.5 twist with that style and probably an ugly "hard" leap or two and they'd be Olympic champion now.

Silivas should have been scored a 9.9 max. Bogi and the Bulgarians put in far better performances on the night.Reputation/flag on your leotard seems to have counted for a lot.
