1989 Mercedes Benz 560SL Roadster Review and Test Drive by Bill - Auto Europa Naples

Offered for sale is this stunning example of the very collectible R107 Roadster from Mercedes-Benz, a (final year of production) 1989 560SL in beautiful Tuxedo Black over Dove Gray leather. This all Southern car has been beautifully maintained, and runs and drives exceptionally well. The factory VIN stickers are all in place, the paint is excellent and original, and the leather and wood are in very good condition. It includes the hard top, all books and tools. Amenities include power windows, power central locking, Factory hard and soft tops, driver side air bag, original Becker radio that has been factory refurbished and enhanced with an auxiliary input, chrome factory rims with Michelin tires, Mercedes-Benz accessory seatbelt guides and floor mats, leather steering wheel, and more. Correct, R107 designed by Friedrich Geiger & Joseph Gallitzendörfer C.1968. Though the aforementioned blokes are given credit for the C107 as well (on the web) it was actually a young Karl Wilfert who is credited by Daimler as the one responsible for the coupés deveopment, based on the R107 body style.
