1990 Volkswagen Cabriolet on Bring A Trailer

I bought this exact model in March of 1991 left over from the previous year. They had two on the lot and then every other color with leather and all but I wanted the WHITE ON WHITE ON WHITE and I AM A GUY!. I am CERTAIN, I was called a lot of names, I Had a little brother who I was a tennis coach and we drove all over TEXAS and even to CALIFORNIA for his SPRING BREAK IN IT! At that time never felt danger, we thought it was actually safe because of the roll bar. Was a very fun time in my life. I went from a 1982 Camaro Z28 which I had bought new at 18 yrs old and sold it for 6500.00 9 yrs later. I took that money and plopped it down on this VW with a window sticker of just over 15 thousand. I drove it about 35K miles a year and a half and went to a Mustang GT Fully loaded for ALSO just over 15K. Those were the days... :)

What other guys didn't realize back then was that girls loved to ride in those cars way more than other sports cars.

I was watching this. I had one of these in the day. Swapped in a GTI engine and wheels. It had great Recarro seats a Monza exhaust and the Alpine sound and alarm, the Euro Hella headlights etc. Basically every late 80’s cliche. I put on a (larger) Audi MAS and Neuspeed throttle body and it scooted. The girls preferred riding in this to my buddy’s IROC. I was forced to sell it in 98 when the wife got pregnant and bought a minivan. Shoot me now.

Our boy Miami Jay on @derordieporchepodcast had a white B!tch Bucket and he turned out ok...hmm maybe we need to rethink this one.

I prefer the later Cabrio models. Much easier to live with. Less weird vacuum leaks, much better fuel injection, safer, more power, ride quieter, easier to see out the back, less wind, features that really make it so much nicer to live with. I should shut up, I want them to stay affordable!!

Are you talking about the MK3's or even later like the Eos?
