Andrea Bowman-Danny rarely had a good defense to work with. Even when he did, they still didn’t have an answer for that juggernaut offense in Buffalo. I’m still screaming at Tom Olivadotti for putting L. Oliver “one on one” with A. Reed in the 1990 Divisional playoff game in Buffalo.

@@SJM6791 i just dont understand why shula kept olivadotti around so long. Shula understood the importance of defense and run game better than any coach. If only they could've kept arnsparger , the architect of no name defense. In the 70's

Yeah it's a travesty all the garbage people talk about Marino he's not a good quarterback he never won a super bowl got to have a ring to be considered a great quarterback people forget teams win super bowls . Your telling me trint dilfer an Brad Johnson are better quarterbacks than Dan Marino because they won a ring if you are then your smoking crack. Marino is without a doubt the greatest quarterback to ever play the game no quarterback could put up the numbers Marino did with the dolphins in the era he played in were the defense had the advantage over the offense.

The most notable aspect of this game to me is that Shula, who always completely abandoned the run when behind in the playoffs with Marino, not only stuck to it when down 13 in the 4th, but Miami actually ran more than the Chiefs! Giving Okoye just 13 carries was criminal IMO.

That’s what makes the playoffs so exciting though. You gotta want it to win it. Marty may’ve had consistently dominant teams throughout the years, but the playoffs require grit and team resolve to advance past the already steep competition, especially for lower seeds. I’m not saying Marty’s teams lacked this, but considering he was up against teams led by John elway, Jim kelly, Dan Marino, and Tom Brady, all of whom played lights out in the playoffs, I think it’s safe to say he had his work cut out for him.

MARINO!! 💪😎👍 Most don't know that Dan's right knee had been badly injured in 84, it never got close to being 💯 after. Plus by this point in time, he had a really bad Right shoulder & a bad left knee to go along with his right one! People didn't know it because Dan NEVER said anything to anyone (besides his closest team members & doc's) NEVER used it for an excuse. Dan Marino played his last15 years strictly on nothing but Guts, Gile & HEART!! As far as I'm concerned he was The Greatest player to play the QB position in the history of the Game & I'm so grateful for witnessing him play. 💪😎👍!!!

But damn , the way he used his head as a battering ram . His cns is so f'd up he can only take little baby steps in retirement . Mike Webster should have never played center so long with the steelers something like 18 years . he was so messed up with brain damage physically and mentally he was really messed up , drank a lot, died relatively young at 50 years old i think . When he died they did a post mortem and found nothing wrong with the MRI . Still a neurosurgeon asked family if he could keep webster's brain, perhaps whole body preserved, and they said yes . Many, many bad calls against Chiefs in key situations. And, no, the Bengals did not get help from the refs in 2023 AFC championship. Chiefs had a TD taken off the board on a questionable call plus a taunting penalty that was trivial. AS most of us know, NFL officiating is and has been for a very, very long time suspicious.
