Andre Dawson was my favorite player as a kid. I was watching this game live. Then my babysitter made me go to bed. :(

I remember watching this as a kid (must have been 6 or 7). It was hilarious and still the first thing to come to my mind when I think of Andre Dawson.

Absolutely. (for me), one of those memories - when "You know were ya were and what ya were doing when!" Watching on WGN (home w a broken foot) I watched as it happened live and called in my son, from outside playing, to watch the tape re-runs! Amazing player - and ridiculous call - it released some bent-up energy for me - lol - and I, a parent that taught my child to "discuss issues" - Loved that team - Ryan, Greg and Dawson - remain my all-time Cub favs - followed by my fav line-up in 2004-2005 (Amaris, Alou, M Barrett, Zambrano, on and on - that team had the best hitting Pitchers and 1 heck of a base stealer we got in late season trade from Pittsburgh - and I must have traveled to Chicago/orig home - from Nevada - 3-4 times "to be with me Bleacher Homies" - plus paid for Season Txs at our Vegas 51's Park - for the purpose of having - 3rd row Home Plate Seats for Cubs preseason opening games - It was worth every penny! I took my son to that park in 93 for his 1st Pro-Baseball game (Cubs - vs - W Sox) Ryan Sandberg played and that was his last full season - Alden got his autograph - and was on front page of the LV Review Journal reaching over the dugout to get his ball from Ryan. Life Events - are Moving Memories of Passion and Emotion - and ours include Our Chicago Cubs! GO CUBS - GO!!!!!!!!!

Lmao !!!! Man born in 78, blessed to see all the greats from the ending of a career to freshly coming up. Oh and the foul ball the was coming and. Coming at me, though Omg I'm gonna wrap this stitching in my Rawlings glove guaranteed. Well a handicap dude just below me on a walkway catwalk lifted his cup of beer up and legit the ball hit it dead on and beer exploded everywhere and as t he ball landed in his lap.....Man the was the most awesome thing I seen. God bless players and fans. Proud to have seen that and happy as heL to put such a feeling in that disabled guy. I'm use to coming close to the prize like that lol, since the girl next to me on Bozo Show got picked for bozos buckets lmao....I learned early others may need something more then me....great happy, caring Lessons.. Andre Bro , you were in a league of your own, no tither power houses could peel that leather off that ball like you...Rip

I remember this game! It was wild. Dawson was pissed to the highest levels of pissivity because the strike zone seemed to be fluctuating but West maintained it was because his swing was too big. That was really it for Dawson then! 😂😂😂😂
