"Soder" pivots to a "where are they now" pod where Dan interviews ex-athletes with no name recognition but who still have great stories. The pod experiences immense success and "Bang Bang Soder Gang" merch is everywhere. Fin.

When you created this, I am sure that you would not have thought that you would bring much happiness to a poor and unfortunate soul such as myself, thank you for these shorts Dan. They bring so much nostalgia because this is when I began to be a serious collector about the time of the release of these NBA HOOPS cards. I hope that you never stop doing these, even if you have to continue through the 90's!

Love the evolution and polish to this segment. eBay prices listed, full size card shown on screen, and a 'Dust Off The Crust' look-back piece. (Feel free to use that;) Great editing 👍

My god this brings back memories. Just recently found my old binders of all kinds of cards at my parent's house. I used to do the same thing you're doing now back in the 90s. I recognize so many of these players, mainly bc me and my buddies would laugh hysterically at names and pictures. I wish I could send a pic of some of what I got. Have a feeling you'd love it.

Crazy fact: NBA Hoops cards back then were put out by Liggett-Myers (L&M) tobacco company! I know because I took pictures used on the card of Brad Sellers when he joined Seattle Sonics early in pre season 1989 and they played in San Diego. I was a freelancing sports photographer then, but the picture used front and back was a static 'portrait' I took NOT an action shot. When I got paid, the check came from L&M tobacco!

Dan Soder... Best Comic of All Time in my opinion. with the A.C. Green card pull, how funny would a video be title "The Worst NBA Shot Ever". Just play clips of either player shooting a free-throw or even worse, a 3 point shot. A.C. Green would go head to head with Bill Cartwright.
