Your video is so far the best and most descriptive video on how to fix the rear brake I have seen on KZbin for the Astro Van. Thank you to take the time to share with us. Very much appreciated.

2,284 views on this video does not justify the skills and knowledge this guy possess. This video deserves one million views. Looks like I'm going to click on this video nine hundred ninety-seven thousand one hundred sixteen more times.

@@OnlineAutoRepairVideos Just figured it out why things don't match up. You are working on the left rear first and then on the right, correct? I was following your video on your left rear wheel while I was working on my right rear wheel. LOL waste of 3 hours, will attempt again tomorrow and maybe by the time I get done you will get the nine hundred ninety-seven thousand one hundred sixteen more views.

Another method to prevent excess brake fluid loss is to hold the brake pedal down before opening up a line to the atmosphere. A broom stick, pipe, 2X4, etc. jammed between the driver's seat and brake pedal works great. Nice work Timmy.

That's really interesting, I'm going to try just that on my next brake job where I have to open the system, thanks Len!

Astral Auto Repairs You got it man. I went out and bought the spring removing/replacing tool and I'm not 100% sure how to use it properly, but I managed. Anyway, thanks again.

Is this the same procedure for the 99 astro RWD?
@OnlineAutoRepairVideos5 жыл бұрын
Sorry Isaac, not really sure. It should be similar, but not sure if it's the exact same.

Great video.very well done. I recently noticed on my 98 astro the rear brake releases a couple 0f seconds after I let off the brake pedal. The brake and anti locklight came on recently as well. Any ideas what the problem might be?

Hey raybin, you maight want to check the springs, maybe they are worn. Other than that, it could also be a wheel cylinder sticking, the master cylinder sticking, or even the ABS pump itself. Start off by getting the codes from the ABS system.

one green spring needs a litle peace before you set it.
