1992 Nissan Skyline R32 Manual Swap Part 2

Part 2 of my manual swap overview on my 1992 Nissan Skyline GTS25.

I’m doing this swap but the trans won’t mate the motor. It’s coming like an inch and a half away from going in. I can’t get the trans input shaft to line up I’ve tried everything like turning the driveshaft while my buddy pushes it in. Nothing is working

If you're that close then you are almost there. In my video you can see that I kind of had the same problem but I twisted it/rotated the transmission a bit while shaking it up and down. That is what did it for me. I also have the front of the engine jacked up a bit so that the back points downward which helped a lot.

Hey man! How did you figure all of thr wiring? did you just have to wire the reverse lamp switch and neutral switch on the gearbox? if so how?

Do you know what other manual transmissions that would be suitable for this conversion?

I've heard that a KA transmission will bolt up but it is longer and the shifter position is pushed back. You would also need a custom driveshaft. I did the math and it was going to cost me a lot more if I used a different transmission. I would just try and find the rb20 transmission.

That would work fine. It's just weaker.
