It's true. Stephanie didn't like Taylor for quite a while early on, until Taylor married Ridge. Stephanie was practically as hostile toward Taylor as she had been toward Brooke. (The only difference was that Stephanie never slapped Taylor until 2006.) As a matter of fact, Stephanie was trying to push Brooke and Ridge back together between late 1991 and the spring of 1992. She was hoping to reunite Ridge and Brooke as a couple so that she could free up Eric for herself again. For a few months, Stephanie formed a peculiar alliance with Brooke, by having Brooke go along with Stephanie's schemes to get herself [Brooke] divorced from Eric, while Stephanie would subtly help pave the way for Ridge to go back to Brooke. In one comical scene, Stephanie said to Brooke something like this: "I hate you. I can't stand you. But I want you to get back together with Ridge." In early 1992, as part of a ploy by Stephanie, Brooke started behaving like a shrew toward Eric. The objective was to try to make Eric angry enough to kick Brooke out of the house and to pursue a divorce. There were two scenes that used to be on KZbin many years ago: the first scene was with Eric telling Stephanie about how Brooke deliberately dropped one of Eric's 18th-Century crystal figurines, breaking it, and merely stared at him afterwards, and how Eric merely stared at Brooke back without giving her a reaction, and how Brooke started laughing afterwards, with Eric laughing too in the end; then Eric recounts to Stephanie that Brooke admitted that her shrew-like behavior was only an act to try to get a reaction out of him, and that immediately afterwards he and Brooke started relating better with each other again for the first time in ages; Eric adds that he told Ridge all about the vase incident and the aftermath, and that he is sure that Ridge will give up hoping for a future with Brooke. The second scene was an angry Stephanie visiting Brooke in the lab, telling her off for sabotaging their plan and asking her why she would risk losing an opportunity to get divorced to be with Ridge. Brooke says, "You didn't do anything. I did all the work. I had to fight with Eric morning and night, and frankly it wasn't in me anymore, so I stopped." Brooke also explains that getting Eric to kick her out of the house could result in Eric getting back at her, by prolonging the divorce proceedings. Stephanie says she thinks Brooke is doing this for another reason altogether - to keep her options open: Brooke would prefer being with Ridge, but if Eric doesn't let her go, Brooke would settle for Eric. The two women have a dispute, and Steph says "You're not going to leave Eric unless you win Ridge?!" Brooke replies, "I am going to win Ridge." Stephanie says, "Then you have your work cut out for you. Ridge knows all about this vase incident...Eric made a deliberate point of telling him." Brooke can hardly believe it. Stephanie advises Brooke that if she doesn't take this opportunity to work on reuniting with Ridge, then Ridge "will explore other avenues of interest. So you've decided to play both ends against the middle. You're not going to end up with either one of them." Stephanie leaves the lab. So Stephanie was actually trying to push Brooke back towards Ridge - after several years of hating her and resenting her and Ridge's involvement with each other. With Taylor showing an interest in Ridge, this was a spoke in the wheel for Stephanie - which was the main reason Stephanie didn't like Taylor early on. If Ridge and Taylor get together, then Brooke and Ridge can't be together, and Stephanie probably won't get back together with Eric. If I'm not mistaken, I also seem to think that once Stephanie learned about the surveillance tape that recorded Ridge and Brooke having sex in the lab, she tried to use that videotape to drive Taylor away - hoping that Taylor would be turned off of Ridge and give up on him. Taylor almost did, and for a time she distanced herself from Ridge. However, once Ridge and Taylor married, Stephanie did a 180 and she turned on Brooke, practically said F you to her, and threw her to the wolves. (Ironically this was when Brooke arrived late to the wedding of Ridge and Taylor after she got caught in a traffic jam, shortly after she [Brooke] learned that she was pregnant.) Soon after Ridge and Taylor got married, Stephanie started to like Taylor. However, no, Stephanie didn't like Taylor at all, way back then. There was another scene - before Taylor married Ridge - where Stephanie's daughter Felicia brought Taylor to Stephanie's home to discuss Taylor and Ridge's upcoming wedding and to try to get Stephanie and Taylor to make peace with each other and get along with each other. After Felicia excused herself, Stephanie and Taylor butted heads. Steph tried to brush Taylor aside saying, "I'm sorry you came here for nothing. Goodbye." Taylor gently says "You're wrong. I haven't come for nothing. Your son Ridge is about to marry me, so we might as well come to terms with each other." They get into a tense discussion about Ridge. Taylor says, "Ridge must see some saving grace in me." Stephanie says, "We know why Ridge is marrying you, and it doesn't have a damn thing to do with saving grace." Stephanie goes on to say that Ridge is marrying Taylor out of respect for his father's marriage to Brooke. Taylor says that Ridge doesn't need her, but that Ridge wants her. She says that they are going to be married and make a future with each other and gently suggests that Stephanie get used to it, otherwise Stephanie might not be welcome in their home, which they would all be unhappy about. Taylor, trying to extend an olive branch, asks Stephanie if she would like to help her with planning some of the wedding details. Stephanie replies coldly that she would rather drink a glass of acid rain. Taylor tells Stephanie to let Felicia know that she will give her a call soon, and says goodbye and leaves.

Stephanie Douglas daddy had to pay Eric to marry his knocked up daughter. Meanwhile Beth Logan husband abandons her and she had to work and take care of kids. Stephanie ideal of working was telling the maid what to serve for dinner. But Stephanie did win the war against the Logans. Stephanie had Brooke raped and was responsible for Beth Logan drowning.
