This is a great review. For someone in the market for an older Miata, this just makes me excited to own one!

Great video as always! Also I couldn't agree more; I bought a bone-stock 1990 about three years ago as a second car and it instead became my DD! Even having less than half the power of my modded and supercharged other car, being stock, and having an open diff (one of the few things I plan on changing) I can never get enough of driving it!!

Would you consider this a good first car? I've really been eyeing these as well as a few other cars, although I'm really looking into one of these. I'd get a 1.8L of course, because it's not only newer, but also I want something to learn on. I also left a like because why not?! Have a great day.

Good first car for a car guy. It can work as a daily and its a great car for back roads. Cheap parts and a great community.

Yes 1000%. Passed my test in my mx5 and owned it for 2 years now. Super cheap to maintain, and a great way to learn about car shit. I also wouldn’t worry too much about the 1.8/1.6 debate, just make sure you don’t get a short nose. Also can’t stress enough how easy it is to drive.

It's a great car, lots of fun, cheap, a beast in the turns. Have at it, but it's not the best in terms of crash safety or storage space obviously. If those 2 things don't matter to you, your good to go. Lol

It’s a good first car if the soft top is in excellent condition and does not leak. The most uncertain and worrying parts of my ownership experience has been feeling drops that I cannot stop coming when it rains or parking and worrying if it will rain or not and funk up the interior. And if you’re set on that perfect Miata with a leaky top at least do your homework and have a plan to replace it before you even go and see the car.

A bit banged up, but no doubt, 100% fun to drive!

I DON'T Want to "build power out of one of these things," I want to drive hard, within the limits of the car. That's where the fun is!

I have a 93 Miata from Florida and lower part of the doors and below appear to have a rubberoid under the paint. Wondering if it from the factory as I've been told that the car wasn't painted and had no body work .

I’m looking into buying a Miata but problem is I live in LA so I take freeways to work every weekday and sometimes deal with traffic what are some people’s thoughts
@yankee2yankee2163 жыл бұрын
Yes, the Miata is very small, however, I DID manage to have one as an only car for most of 11 years, and I used it for everything, including grocery shopping for a family of 4 (it all fit). Now I keep a 1999 Toyota 4Runner (5-speed, 4WD) in addition to the Miata, which gives me the best of both worlds.

Okay.. for that airbag light on the cluster what I did to stop this is took the bulb out that goes to where the airbag light is located in the back of the cluster (after removing the cluster to get to the bulb) love the video also.

Ima check one out that has a dent on the passenger side fender and its priced at $4800 🥴
@MrChickenspit4 жыл бұрын
@@hiraeth5150 last year, the average price for used an NA Miata was about $3k - $4k for a great condition one. The price gonna go up every year.
@therandompotato33604 жыл бұрын
@@hiraeth5150 I’m not joking when I say this, there was one on OfferUp that had a rod knock plus 3 years in back fees plus had a dent in the fender and the trunk, paint was faded. Dude wanted $2500 for it. Fuck that. Your car isn’t worth more than $400 in that condition.
