I've done 3 LS swaps on 3 OBS all have oem fan clutch. It works with oem V8 fan shroud. One had me change to electric for looks. Good video will follow.

I mentioned to him a stock clutch fan would probably work. He chose electric fans.

Easier to un bolt the eight bed (box) bolts and jack up the box on the gas tank side. Easy to remove fuel pump and sender.

With how many psi of the fuel pump does a 5.3 ls of a tahoe 2002 work?, I want to put that ls in a cheyenne 1993 that carries a 4.3 tbi, another question, the shells of that 4.3 tbi will serve me for the 5.3 ls?, or do I have to look for other shells?, and other adapter plates? Have a 95 chevy silverado stepside with a 5.3 engine with a cam installed and the factor computer do i have to program the computer to the cam ? It also a driver by wire

Just found your channel man.. been on the hunt for the LS swap on my garage kept 94 Chevy 4 wheel drive. I want to take out the 4.3 and get back a swapped LS but unfortunately I'm in east Tennessee but I do have 12k saved. Help bro!! I'll be waiting for your next video. I liked and subscribed!!

12k is more than plenty for a decent swap depending on what engine and transmission you want. Just make sure the parts you do end up getting are specific for 4x4. Some 2wd parts won't work the same.

@@krustyclassicsgarage I'm wanting to drop it off and get it back. Take it out the garage and cruise with the AC on and be able to put it in 4 wheel drive when it snows up here in the winter. Pop the hood looks factory Gen 3 nice and clean but just enough cam to be thump!! I'll maybe throw in some more.

@@krustyclassicsgarage I also fallow Cool Cars KJ and he does LS swaps with a builder in Georgia and he had told me 10 grand and 6 wks and I would have the truck back and be happy with it and be able to drive it daily.

@@krustyclassicsgarage yes.. finds donor's from 01-03 5.3s but he said sometimes it can be a 4.8 but I would want the 5.3 and of course the 6.0. Here's the truck and the money build me a daily driver with AC that looks factory and clean. With power but if I want cam and stall converter and a cpl extras and Magnaflow exhaust I will need 10k to 12k for it even sweeter than then he was going to video the build and have it on his channel. I'm basically wanting it built so I can tell everyone in Tennessee who did my sleeper garage kept farm truck.

What did you do for the ecu/brain? Did you have it sent out and flashed or did you use the ecu from the doner vehicle?

Hey wanted to ask if a 2001-2002 s10 can be Ls swapped with just changing the engine harness and computer if it’s a 4.3 4l60e and fuel pump or will it need a aftermarket Ls harness I was hopeful that it could be as easy as just engine harness and for the Ls and the computer for like 5.3 and 4l60e transmission if you or any other viewers happen to know if I can do that thanks in advance for you or any of your viewers that might know

I cant for sure tell you yes or no. My assumption would be that the fuel pump may not push enough PSI to keep up with the LS efi needs of 58psi (could be wrong may want to fact check). Also, you may be able to run your 4l60e. I would double check the transmission and make sure it has the same main harness plug and VSS plug. Either way you will need an LS harness and LS computer

Contact current performance wiring about having your harness done get dirty dingo motor mounts and some mount for your frame you will probley have trouble putting your bellhousing bolts in with the room there's almost no room and ac might be a problem clearing the hood you need to run electric fans current performance can wire in a plug for them

Yo how much does it cost to do a ls swap on a truck like that?

You honestly could do it for free or close to it if you buy a donor truck(running but maybe wrecked) and all your specific swap parts, do the swap and then part out the donor truck to make back some money.. Or if you don't have the patience for that just but your swap parts and a donor for like $1,000-$1,500 and you can still get the swap done for less than $2K. It all depends on how far you want to go. Just a basic running and driving swap is easy. Once you start trying to add more power the sky is the limit as far as price is concerned.

Oh I forgot to mention exhaust. I bought my own mufflers to an exhaust shop and the welded me a true dual from the headers to right in front of the rear axle for $250

Hello KCG, I want to do an LS swap in my 1992 C1500 pickup. It's 2wd with a 4 speed (and I want to keep the 4 speed). Not looking to make a racer, just a more reliable driver/worker that will get some better gas mileage and power. Jus don't know where to start. Would appreciate any advice on engine and parts needed. How is that ebay harness? Do u recommend it? Is it reliable? Do they give u option to customize it to ur application before purchasing?

I've used 5 of the Amazon harnesses now. No issues. No, you don't have the option to customize them as the cheap ones are sold however they make them.
