Using the previous generation of FMVSS 301 Standards, the FMVSS 301R is a Full-Overlap rear crash test at 30 Mph (48 Km/h) with 50th Percentile Male driver and a 5th Percentile Female Right Front Passenger. The test cart weight 1800kg (3968 lbs).
Result: Pass - No Fuel Leak
This is a test on the fuel system to ensure there is no fuel leakage in a rear-end collision.
For this particular test set, the front occupants have instrumentation.
