I have a 95 Deville with 80.000 m 5 years ago i purchased this car with 44 000 around 65 000 m fuel gauge went works only when it’s full Fuel pump it’s working fine Before this car I had a 94 Deville which i owned for 16 years , one day the fuel pump went I got stuck i had no choice paid $750 This idea came to me when I replace a fuel pump in my sister Buick Regal Took me 30 min to replace the fuel pump It blows my mind because Buick has this kind of design and Cadillac which is more expensive does not I was trying to figure out where exactly is the fuel pump locate it in this Deville I couldn’t start cutting by guessing thanks to you now i know exactly thank you
@lawjo19783 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with everything that you have said. I never understood for the life of me as to why they didn't build a access hole for the fuel pumps as they do wear out overtime. And if you have a full tank of gas and the pump goes.... Dropping a tank that will most likely weigh over 100lbs easy isn't a fun project.

Today I finished mine: Cadillac Deville 1996. This was exactly same as yours except one: no middle line (line for a fuel vapor vent valve). I made the window much smaller referring to your video, but the radius was the same as yours at 5 o'clock position, where two quick connect lines are located. Thanks!

Same as me no middle line That worries me because now I feel like in the future I’m gonna smell some gas BUT I have the best solution for that Use sound proof shields that are made from gum use a cutter and apply it on the cutting lines it will work keeping any smell going in the car they are so sticky and stay in place

Thanks for a great video. My question is, how did you decide where to cut the panel to be directly on top of the pump. You really did a good job. I need to do the same to 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, which needs a replacement pump. I need to be sure where to cut the panel above the fuel pump. Also, which tool did you use to cut the panel. Your comments will be appreciated.

That cover you have is a retainer ring that secures the fuel pump. No need to cut that. You're just cutting the floor. And you don't have to make deep cuts. My apologies for the late reply to you.
