Great video thanks. Ultrasonic jewelry cleaners are great for cleaning carb jets (if you know someone who has one).

Thanks for the tip about the screws.

Use an impact driver to get those phillips screws out without being destructive. They're very cheap and at any auto store.

Be sure you turn off the gas at the petcock before you start disconnecting hoses.

There's useful stuff on here but due to the shaking of the camera or phone it's hard to follow what's going on, I know it's difficult to film this sort of thing but the video is hard to watch. I'd advise allen bolts to replace the 'JIS' float bowl screws, cheap and easy to find on ebay. Please don't clean out jets with wire as advised in the video, if you have to stick something through try fishing line.

Just get a Japanese Industry Standard (JIS) screwdriver set.

I replaced my float screws with stainless hex heads. They are much easier to take off. They are M4 .80 pitch. I'm not sure what the length is, maybe 10? anyhow you can compare yours with the new ones to figure out the length.

Did you have to re sync the carbs after you reattached everything?

@@Handy-Mann I have the same bike and my left carb is dumping fuel like crazy
@Handy-Mann6 жыл бұрын
@@pleasehelp2446 could be a couple of things. You could need a rebuild kit with new gaskets, your float could be stuck, or the drain at the bottom could be loose (if it is try tightening it but be careful not to strip that screw)

@@Handy-Mann it started dumping fuel after someone tried to sit on/steal my bike and dropped it in my parking garage
