I've been developing cracks along my manifold runners and all of the heatshields ( i do mean all) have broken loose so I just ordered this as part of my new system. I'm amazed that I never came across your vid in my research but hearing it now I'm convinced I made the right choice. It sounds just like a vintage european racecar!

RoadsterSport Cat-Back exhaust system from Goodwin Racing
Thanks. I also have 2 1991 Miata's both still with the 1.6L and am considering this exhaust for them as well. Hope it will sound as good on the 1.6

also on addressing headlight glare, have you tried switching your 7" assemblies for the European-spec ones? Specifically those made by Valeo/Cibie? I got mine through Daniel Stern and they are a REMARKABLE upgrade even with normal wattage bulbs. He also offers AUX harnesses so you can run higher-wattage (halogen) bulbs directly off of the battery.

Thanks for the info. I think the crappy camera didn't help. Should make another video with my GoPro or just leave the headlights off. I think I would swap in LED's before going higher wattage bulbs since this car has a small light weight DEKA battery which is great for the track but not great on the street. Not sure if I am going to do much to this '94 MX5. Planning on moving hopefully next year and will be downsizing. I think two of my three Miata's will have to go. I am going to finish up a little minor rust repair on this '94 but I think thats about it for now. We will be keeping the '91 Jeep YJ, '05 Jeep KJ CRD, and 1970 Chevrolet Nova but not sure about the other vehicles or which MX5 to keep.

Im the previous owner of Jeep Collector's Miata.. The headlights are not stock. I replaced them with Bosch H4 housings from flyin'miata. Was part of a group buy.. they are great head lights and don't need replacing.

Noticed below you had 2 '91's. To make them sound good .. Monster Miata conversion. Shove a built Mustang 5.0 and hold on for dear life!! LOL ... My son wants he and I to build one. He is about to go in the Air Force so it may have to wait till he gets out. Unless I find one with a blown motor cheap enough! But . the little 1.8 sounded great!

I never thought much about the little 1.6L or 1.8L until I got this '94. I was taking it easy in this video but the little 1.8L has plenty of power to move this lightened up track car. I was planning on installing the 1.9L ALH diesel from my '03 Jetta into one of those '91 Miata's but I am selling off a bunch of my projects to fund the completion of my Jeep, boat, and camper. Already sold this '94 MX5 and the two 91's are next to go. The M1008 CUCV went to a new home as well. I am planning to build a YJ for the track one day just to be different...

Sounds nice! I'm looking for an exhaust for my 1991 with a 1.8 Swap. Definitely considering this one, especially for the price.
