She sounds great, but needs more work for that price. No turn signal switch, no antenna, headliner, ect. It was listed on CarGurus for 5,000, and then the price went up for some reason. I love Firebirds and I'm not bashing this TA, but she needs work.

Unless it's got the coil upgrade you'll regret the Optispark.Thats known as the LT1 curse. The Distributor is under the water pump because there's no room up top.If your water pump leaks it dies and won't start.Around 5 to 600 to fix it.That the reason I got rid of my 96 Transam. If you put the coil upgrade on then you fight timing issues

Owned many lt1s not the curse of the lt1 just the curse for the dipshits who have no clue how to properly change a water pump and tbh seems like you got mentally skill gapped by a 25+ year vehicle lmao

Everyone who knows anything about these cars knows what they are dealing with! And the optispark thing is really getting old!!! The fact is is that the optispark is actually a great and reliable!! The thing that kills optisparks is water!! Waterpumps going out is what kills um! So what that means is that they last longer than waterpumps do!! Also don't buy cheap Chinese parts and you'll be just fine! A bunch of LT1 cars are still going!! And a bunch are still on the original equipment!! You got rid of an awesome car because you don't know anything about it!!! Super sad!!

@@C4VETTELT1 Very true statement - Love my LT1 - Opti spark was only an issue once for me with over 80k miles logged on my car since i bought it. 144k now. People who make these comments dont understand that all cars have issues - big deal.

@user-vw1ln5is6p nice.... what LT1 powered vehicle do you have? And I assume when it was done it still had the original equipment? The original optisparks have a brown or tan epoxy front cover. Actually it's almost a yellowish color.
