Thanks, had a lot of requests for the door panel vid. I am still trying to find a headliner board from a CD or CS. I have a bare roof still and the pool of viable headliner options is almost dry.

I'm in the process of trying to stop the inside of my 9000's doors from rusting due to their design defect and have been taking them all apart to treat with Fishoilene (aerosol application) and making new moisture barriers from builders plastic.

If I were rust treating exposed steel I would use a phosphoric acid convertor and allow it to dry fully in a climate controlled area first. I would then coat that with etching primer at a minimum. If you are road salt proofing, do the above and then apply the oil film.

Glad to accidentally finding this! Needed this info, as I’m replacing the driver side complete wing mirror. However, the video is dark where the interior panel covering the bolts,etc. for securing the mirror is, as I was wondering if I really needed to remove the panel to do the R&R of the mirror, considering electrical connectors especially. Do you know if I need to remove the panel? Thanks!

You can remove the mirror alone. Just be weary of the wiring as you can drop it into the door cavity.. and then you end up pulling the door card anyway..

what are those caps called that are just under the door handle pull, that you said the driver side has a switch there. mine is missing both and i cant find them for the life of me.

They are cover plates. Part# 9758186

How do you remove the cover plates for the driver side?

Which "cover plates" are you referring to? And is your car RHD or LHD?
