I am an Italian American Football fan. Thanks for uploading games from the early 90s; that was when I began watching and liking the NFL. It brings back so many cool memories.

The 80s/90s Bills-Niners match-up was the sequel to the Raiders-Cowboys match-up from the ~70s. The odds of them not meeting in at least one Super Bowl are crazy. Yet they somehow never met for the big one.

Could happen the next couple of years. We shall see. The early 90s match up would have been awesome though.

As great as Steve Young was, it's almost hard to believe he only started 1 Super Bowl...until you remember that post-season success is a measure of how good a TEAM is, not an individual. A concept that is completely lost on too many HOF voters.
@davevolskysbackdoor56733 ай бұрын
Young essentially lost about 7 or 8 seasons between the USFL, Bucs, and being a backup to Montana. Didn't really come into his own until almost 30 years of age. Agreed on the postseason success, which I would argue works both ways. For instance when people say Plunkett should be in the HOF for his two SB rings - no. Plunkett was a pretty mediocre QB for the first 10 years of his career, and a few good, not great seasons with the Raiders at the tail end doesn't change that or make him shrine-worthy.
@dantheman57453 ай бұрын

@@dantheman5745Postseason success is definitely a measure of the team. As for the Niners, credit them for getting to four NFC Championship Games in the years he started with the one title in 94 of course. But the team had up and down years on both sides of the ball. For example the Niners played 1997 without Jerry Rice for much of it, they had a defense that was in transition in 93, and showed its age in 1998. I’d say 1994 and 95 they were at their best in the Young years overall.
@astrostar493 ай бұрын
One ring in 7 seasons as a full time starter is pretty good though. And SB MVP, and 2 time MVP. Passer rating leader 6 times I think. Achieved a HOF career in like half the time.
@candlestick12313 ай бұрын
He made it to 4 NFC championship games as a starter so he could have started in at least 4 Super Bowls.

Whenever I see a "Bills vs 49ers" 1990s era game on video, is raises my hopes that it would be the 1992 contest . . . as there were no punts in that game!

That one is up on the NFL's KZbin channel -- kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2LOmqOZg9OfprM&pp=ygUTMTk5MiBiaWxscyB2cyA0OWVycw%3D%3D -- I myself would not be able to post that game because it would be blocked for copyright since it is already up by the NFL.

Sir, i have to tip my hat off to the sheer dedication, love and pure passion you have for Football. Excellent job uploading these retro games in such elite quality. Just a query, if i may ask?. Topaz is known for being super slow even for power PC users. Around what time on average a game takes to upscale via this software for you?. I am guessing at the minimum a few days if the PC is running no stop?.
@davevolskysbackdoor56733 ай бұрын
It depends on your hardware. It also depends on what you are upscaling. All of these games that I upscale to 1080p are 480p originally. With the settings I use I get about 36 or 37 fps processing, so it takes me about 80% of the duration of a game to run it through Topaz (for instance a 3 hour game would take me about 2 hours, 20 minutes to process). It would of course take much longer if you are starting with HD content and also going from 30 to 60fps. My PC is about a year and a half old now (I5-13600K, 32 GBs, NVIDIA RTX-3060TI). A top-end video card like a 4090 would really boost speed as well - it's all about how much you want to pay. In addition to Topaz, I also take that render and bring it into Da Vinci Resolve to edit and work on color and contrast. I have things pretty streamlined now though and can sometimes pump out a game in 6 or 7 hours from start to publish.

Wow! Love watching an NFL game where the quarterback has grass stains on his jersey and where the 4th quarter wasn't marred by challenges - reviews - announcers having to blah blah for 35 minutes to try to explain a penalty while calling New York to set up proper legislation. Let them play.

That Major Fumble hit at 1:40:58 would be illegal flag in todays Pro Football ?! Also our Niners need to go back to those classic old-school game pants. They don’t wear those game fans no more nowadays. The stripes are a lot bigger back then much more darker gold brown they’re not the same today ?!
