You're very lucky !! I was 10 years old in 1991 the first year my hometown Buffalo Bills made the super bowl. The city was so excited !! Magical even it was such a exciting place to live in at that time , everyone was friendly it was like we were one giant family . I think crime was at a all time low here in Buffalo during those four straight superbowl years . Even though we lost all four superbowls Buffalo was such a great place to live. We are still kinda like that come Bills football Sunday everyone comes together if ever there was a city that deserves a championship its Buffalo New York.

This is how football was meant to be played. No penalty flags every 5 seconds for so much as breathing on another player, no jumping to the sidelines every 5 minutes to hear an announcer blab about something which doesnt pertain the least bit to the game, no Jumbotron shots of Taylor Swift and whoever else a player happens to be dating. God, I miss those days. All football and no fluff. Such a simpler time

I grew up in Daly City, right outside of SF. There was an an El Torito restaurant I used to go to with my family there and one night we saw Jerry Rice at the bar. Soon as I saw the pre-game intros I have to say RIP 😢😢to: DT Shawn Lee (1966-2011), I met him at a 1994 Chargers mini-camp and got his autograph when I was 11-years old. RB Rodney Culver (1969-1996), I remember when the police and such was searching for his body and then when they gave up searching for his body in the Florida Everglades. LB David Griggs (1967-1995), C Courtney Hall (1968-2021), and DE Chris Mims (1970-2008). And of course LB Junior Seau (1969-2012), I grew up loving Seau's play and celebrations when he made big plays as a kid and then young adult. I was devasted when he committed suicide 10-years ago.

Offensively it’s between the 89 and 94 teams which are really similar in my opinion. 84 had the best defense and is probably a top 3 team of all time

Much as anyone wanted to believe in monumental upsets, the outcome of this game was a foregone conclusion. Niners were going to win, and win big.
@aggie77565 жыл бұрын
+Lindsey Summers: You're absolutely right! "The real Super Bowl" happened two weeks prior when the Niners beat the Cowboys. As soon as that game concluded, everyone knew the Chargers (who beat Pittsburgh in the early game) were no match for the high-powered Niners (or the Cowboys had they beat the Niners).
@MrYankeeSteel4 жыл бұрын
Lindsey Summers As a Steeler Fan I’m Glad they did!! The Chargers didn’t belong in this game We Did!! I like to think of that it was a curse for them, because for the remainder of the Humphries Bobby Ross Era, they never got anywhere near the Super Bowl again, and even years later with Philip Rivers as Qb and one of the most explosive offenses they still never got to a super bowl. Now he is gone too!! Since 94 Steelers meanwhile have been to 4 Super Bowls, and won 2!! Lol

49ers team in 1994 was unreal. Too bad the 49ers couldn't keep this team together long.
@lindseysummers5351 Жыл бұрын
They leveraged their future to win a championship in 1994. Before they seriously restructured several contracts, signed a single draft pick or free agent, they were less than $500.00 below the salary cap. 1994 was the last year, to me, that the nucleus of this 49ers team was a true championship contender. After this game, they started losing key contributors starting with Rickey Watters and Deion Sanders. It's astounding they lasted until 1999 before they really hit the wall. They had some good teams but they just weren't champions after this season.
