Now THAT'S how you come back with style. I'm glad you took some time for yourself, and I'm glad to see you're back.

I love this. I lived in Napa until I was 13, so I missed out on the glory of watching 49er games on Bay Area TV stations. This is outstanding.

I would have been watching on Channel 10 in Sacramento where I lived back then, also in 49er country. They just switched places with Channel 13 to take the ABC affiliation in 1995.

The enhancement looks outstanding! Very clean and crisp. One would almost think the game is being played live right now instead of 30 years ago.

Thanks for posting these Dave. I love football but these games from the 90s are my faves. It seems that football from this era was more pure and wasn't bogged down by rules favouring one unit over the other, the player wore the pants the way they were supposed to be worn, the jerseys are tucked in. In short, they looked professional.

The back door is open again! WB Dave. EDIT: "some guy named Flip Saunders" Yes folks, there was a time when he was just "some guy". Interesting stuff with the local pregame clip there.

This was actually a hell of a comeback effort by the Vikings - normally when teams went into Candlestick and got down 21-0 right off the bat the game was over early.

Happy to see you back friend. Hope you are doing well health wise. This is a great upload. One of my favorite 49ers wins. Looks like you are doing some gems from the franchise beyond 1994. Great choice 😊😊😊

Thank you sir :) The post-1994 games are ones I did as a special favor to someone who is providing me 49er games from 81-94. There may still be some more in the future that he would like me to do.

I had a friend who was a diehard Cowboy fan. The day the 49ers lost to Green Bay in the divisional round, he called me on the phone to laugh his head off at me: “Helloooo!! HEE HEE HEE!!!” he bellowed. “PACK ATTACK!!” I never felt more embarrassed.

This friend also hee-hawed at me after the 49ers lost at home to Carolina, a new team at the time. “HEE HEE HEE!! Who’s Carolina?? HEE HEE HEE!!”

might need to reduce or straight up remove the AI smoothing / smearing upscale side effect for the wide shots and the player profile screens

Not gonna happen. Each of these games is made up of 2-5 DVD discs and I rip each one to an MP4 file and run the entirety of them through my enhancement software (Topaz) on 'Auto' mode. To break up each and every wide shot or player screen in a game and manually tweak them? You're talking about HUNDREDS of individual edits. Not only would that drive me insane, it would probably take me a month to produce one game as opposed to 6-9 hours with the 'blanket' settings I'm using now. 'Auto' mode does a pretty damn good job overall and I don't mess with it. I mean you could if you wanted to drive yourself nuts obsessing over every little thing. I've streamlined my enhancement process to be able to output a game in about 6 or 7 hours usually and that gets the game looking probably 97-98% as good as it could. No way would I spend infinitely more time to try to squeeze out the other 2%. Way I'm doing it now is optimal for me and the best bang for the buck

Commentators are obviously bias towards 9ers. Obvious pass interference from Drakeford at 57:11. Doesn't play ball and runs into Ismail.
