man it was awesome. Cowboys games on Sundays were religious with Pat and John calling them. It always felt like it was the biggest game of the season. Our family would always rotate houses with my dad and his brothers for Sunday Cowboys/BBQ. All my cousins would play football in the street with other kids in the neighborhood. It was so awesome man, hard to explain the feeling.

The Cowboys were just a different team come playoff time. After the nearly losing 3 straight games they got new life when the 49ers lost to the Falcons in the last week and the Cowboys beat the Cardinals to get homefield advantage. The Cowboys were a new team and it showed. Rodney Peete going out with injury was huge and with Randall essentially not getting any practice because the birth of his child. This was his last game for the Eagles.

What was gratifying about the Cowboys' 1995 playoff run was revenge victories over the Eagles (NFC Title Game, 1980), the Packers (NFL Title games, 1966 and 1967) and the Steelers (SB's X and XIII). A nice feeling to settle some old scores, like relief from constipation.

As a GB fan, the ‘95 loss hurt the most. We were winning into the 4th quarter, then a couple now illegal chop blocks (one ended Jon Jurkovic’s career) and suddenly we’re out. Wish Dallas beat Carolina in ‘96 so we could’ve crushed them at Lambeau :) Now GB faces Dallas in the wild card in Dallas - it’ll be fun. I’ve grown to respect Dallas and respect the rivalry

Amazing how a painful late season loss to a bitter rival can be just the tonic for revenge in the playoffs. In 1980, Dallas was routed by the Rams on MNF 38-14 late in the year, but it must have lit a fire of anger in Big D, as the Cowboys curb stomped LA 34-13 in the playoffs. The loss in Philly with those nightmare third and fourth down calls was just the enema Dallas needed to do its business against the same team in the post season.

Michael Irvin = one of the best, if not the best ever, possession receivers. And Bobby Taylor did an amazing job covering MI all day. Until the end. Aikman threw a brilliant and sublime pass, over Irvin's outside shoulder, and to the sideline. This is where nobody (AND I MEAN NOBODY) could get to the pass except Michael Irvin. Taylor just did the same thing he did all day - he played PERFECT coverage. But Perfect offense beats perfect defense, in EVERY league.

In the Lions game, Aikman was 11-for-16 with 114 yards and Beuerlein was 7-for-13 with 91 yards. I can't remember -- did Beuerlein start that game?

Jerry can't build a defense, we've had good ones around the turn of the century #1 D in 04 or 05. We could never put a complete team on the field, we could never stop the run, look up the rams game in 2018.. almost 300 yards, half from a dude that was on the street that the rams smashed down our throat. Jerry will never learn how to be a GM especially in this modern NFL. His time was never there, but it's definitely time to fire the right guy and man up before you die. That's the only way JJ sees another ring imo. Needed Jimmy all these years!

and the eagles have what 1 sb win since the 60s? the 60s? jesus christ yall are ass. ALso, dallas has dominated this rivalry since it started. More playoff appearances, more sb appearances, more sb wins, more division wins need i go on? if our sb are so old then why do yall only have one? it took yall over 50 years to get ONE. So when you run your mouth about they havnt had once since etc you might wana look at your own franchise and look at how little they have won anything since the 60s. ONE SUPERBOWL WIN. ONE. worst in the division. Yall down there with the lions, bengals, Texans etc in terms of success.

@@sheilaatif6906 took the eagles oiver 50 years to get their first one lmfao thats the bigger joke. SO if ours are so old wtyf is taking philly so long to catch up? I mean trophies count no matter how old they are and yall got one lmfao that is not good at all. Thats alot of wasted money. We blew yall out last time we met too. lmfao eagles are falling apart and wont even win the division this year now.

With all due respect to Dallas during this time... Pittsburgh should have never lost Super Bowl 30.... Thanks to Neil O'Donnell's 2 ints to Larry brown..our defense with Greg Lloyd, Kevin Greene, and Rod Woodson kept us in the game and Pittsburgh had huge momentum late in the 4th qtr before O'Donnell blew it for good....

Your crazy, Dallas should've blown them out. They had no chance. This was 1995 not 1975.

Colts should’ve beat Pittsburgh. They’re lucky Colts linebacker dropped the int. that would’ve ice the game.
