It's nice to see a real machanic and not just a parts hanger. I am having similar problem and the tps has bn replaced . I don't know why you don't have more views and these boys who are just installing parts get so many views . Thanks .

I have a 02 gmc Sonoma with a 2.2 motor & it has a p0122 intermittent code. It drives & shifts at high rpms & doesn't drop back to normal rpms, unless you stop. So I took it to my mechanic & they said the cruise control cable was causing it,so I go get it & its still not fixed. Any ideas of what it could be? The voltage on tps is correct, when I use a volt meter to check. Thanks

Can't say for sure, but need a scanner/scope to look at how the tps is responding throughout the range. I would check at the ecm with a scope to see what the outputs/inputs in relation to the tps are behaving and I would also check powers and grounds at the ecm.
