Very cool car. What a sleeper too. The sound gives it away to someone who really knows the car that its not the old 5.0 or 4.6

The old 4v 4.6 sounds badass as hell and not that much different the coyote is little more raspy but it sounds better in the pre 2005 cars for whatever reason.

What makes the driveshaft “custom”? Is the length different with the 10r80 from stock or the bolting pattern, or both?

VS stock... the bolt pattern and length.

Is getting the 10 speed into the car super hard ?
@BrenspeedEngineering4 ай бұрын
Its super tight but you have to lower the K member and it fits. We did not change the tunnel.

Do you do them with manual transmission?
@BrenspeedEngineering Жыл бұрын
Yes and here is a link to that engine with manual trans www.brenspeed.com/m-9000-pmcm3.html
@jamesrichardson1748 Жыл бұрын
you probably already covered this but what is the over all cost. it seems like it might be a good alternative to boosting a stock 4.6 in a non-terminator cobra
@midnight34711 ай бұрын
Similar cost to boosting it maybe more all in but its fairly simple to do and if you swap a good running 4v car you have the 4v engine you can sell which is worth decent money to recoupe some of the cost.
@HowardSupra11 ай бұрын
In a reply to another comment he stated they only swap in new motor/trans combos from FRPP so you're looking at a big price tag, like 20-30k ish if I had to guess

How you go shifter to work on 10r80?, been looking for aftermarket shifter the fits 2004 Mustang gt coyote swap 10 speed?
@BrenspeedEngineering Жыл бұрын
Look up "Lokar", they make a shifter for the 10R and 6R that retains the electronic shift function.

Because of the K member we used a Gen 2 pan and oil pump. That gave us good clearance.

Could you do something like this a little cheaper with a 6R80/Gen 2 coyote and no heat no AC?
@BrenspeedEngineering Жыл бұрын
If you were doing it yourself. We only use new engines/trans and the Gen 2 and 6R FRPP kits are no longer available from FRPP. So if you used a junk yard engine that would be cheaper you just have the risk of used parts. And if you purchased a Gen 2 and 6R from a ford dealership who might be able to still get them that would not be cheaper at all vs getting Gen 3 from FRPP.

The cheap summit tank and chrome air intake is hurting this swap
@BrenspeedEngineering Жыл бұрын
Thing is many clients budgets are not limitless and they also have different things they want. We have done a lot of other options like paint to match, coated, in the fender, etc...you will see in the other swap videos. Also many people love Chrome although I am into darker colors. I run black wheels, my dad says they are ugly and loves chrome. Age also plays a role I believe in personal preference. THANKS for watching!
