1996 Daihatsu Midget II D Type Very Far From Home In Indiana USA *SOLD*

This is likely the smallest "truck" ever produced in the world. Featured many moons ago in the famous original Play Station game, Gran Turismo 2. The Daihatsu Midget II is an absolute legend among Kei trucks. It features the same 660cc carbureted inline 3 cylinder gasoline engine that is found in the better known Daihatsu Hijet Kei truck. It sends power through a 4 speed manual transmission to a solid rear axle. This truck sits on massive 10 inch rims with a spare tire conveniently located on the front of the vehicle. The Daihatsu Midget II features many luxuries including, a single seat, two doors, one crank window on the right side, an AM radio with 1 speaker, floor/windshield heat, and most shockingly functional air conditioning! These trucks actually handle surprisingly well even in comparison to a normal Kei truck, because of the seating position being further back behind the front axle, unlike a normal Kei truck where you sit on top of the front axle. This truck has a max speed of 100km/h and will cruise comfortably near 50+mph.
This truck will get you more attention than any high end Lamborghini or Ferrari. I never would have imagined as a young kid playing Gran Turismo 2, that 25+ years later I would be importing one of these to my Country.
