There was a man who used to drive one of these that shopped at the store I used to work at. He said it had over 300K miles and he never cut it off when he went in the store, it sounded like a new truck.

This mint condition Ford is beautiful! I love when I see a video of a stock Ford 7.3 especially 1990 to 1997 in mint condition. I am a one owner of a 2003 Ford Super Duty Crew Cab Lariat 7.3 diesel with 59,000 miles in mint condition! Keeping a vehicle in the garage is the only way to keep a vehicle in mint condition!

This is one of my absolute favorite cars.. wish i had one! quite hard to find a 90's F series here in Sweden.. wish the pickups would be in that shape here in Sweden.. to much salt on the roads in the winter = rust.

Nice, how many miles will they get with less lubricants in diesel fuel now a days, maybe 400,000 to 600,000, these new engines don't last as long the engineers say

the hotter those 7.3 get the better they run

@Warren I can confirm this. Not sure why, but the 7.3s in the OBS trucks seemed to have better throttle response and flat out run better if the temperature was hotter than normal. Even if you let them idle or cool down a bit for just a min they will cool down enough to where they loose performance and power.

@Warren I'm not sure what the obs 7.3 (1996) runs at temp wise, but whatever it does run at is a taste too "cold" for it. Once I give it some wot for a little bit itll wake up some more. 128k miles on it. I don't think it helps I have a surging issue at about 2800-3200 rpm when I floor it when its at its operating temp, it does clear up if I wind it out a couple times though just sitting in neutral or somethiin. I have heard of a higher temp thermostate for the 7.3s for this reason I assume. I beleive I have a video of "Farm truck f250" or some shit like that on my channel where I floor it (its still pretty cold) and it exagerates the surging issue I have, I never even hit 3200 rpm, it just hung too long. But yes I can agree about other diesels running better when cooler.

@Warren Maryland, so every 10 damn seconds the weather changes. It can be 95 out and I can be cruzin at 50 mph and then mat it and itll take a bit to get going, then itll get goin. I can slow back down to 50 and then do it again and itll be a bit better, then again its much better. I might have an issue with the thermostat not closing all the way, which is no big deal to me. It takes FOREVER to warm up even when driving it hard. It will be about 4 miles of driving before it comes up into the "normal" range.
@f-j-Services3 жыл бұрын
@Warren oh hell yes best ac so cold itll get below freezing if you jump the pressure switch on the dryer so it forces the compressor to stay on.
