1996 Mitsubishi Mini Dump Truck - On the hunt for better wheels

Today I am on the internet trying to find some new wheels for the 1996 Mitsubishi Minicab Truck. Trying to find the right size, PCD and offset is proving very difficult!

Nice looking wheels - yes, I would paint them black. For the wings, could you pull them out just slightly with your hands, but really you can't even notice the tires poking out. I have just rented a slightly larger one of these to collect 30 tonnes of gravel (yes that will be about 20 trips to the quarry). 👍🏻

I have a new-to-me 1996 Daihatsu Hijet mini truck and it has the standard 21" wheels. I'd like to upgrade to 23" wheels. Actually, I think 25" wheels would be best for off road use on this 4WD truck but they make the effective gear ratio so high that the engine can't rev out to make full power in high gear, and I'll use the truck almost exclusively on the road. I'd like to keep the 12 inch steel rims and sand blast the mild surface rust and powder coat them black. The smaller rims would have larger side walls and the extra rubber would be better off road and would add some extra suspension cushion on road as well. It's difficult to find road rated mud & snow tires for these little trucks in the US. I can't use larger tires until I install a two inch lift kit and I don't want to do that until warmer spring weather. The current tires are the same Dunlop Enasave tires you had. I assume they're good road tires but not good off road. Mine are starting to dry rot on the sidewalls, so I should change them sooner rather than later. I may just keep the tiny 145R12 tire size for good road use and fuel economy but get Yokohama Super Digger II tires for much better off road performance. Then I could add the lift kit later. This is my project truck. I'm going to "paint" it this spring with Monstaliner bed liner, inside and out. Many other repairs and upgrades are planned to make it a capable truck for errands around town with the ability to go off road if needed.

I would have kept the 12" rims if there was a suitable tyre (tire) to buy here in Australia. Only ones I could get are very aggressive off road type and would wear quickly on a tar road and would be very noisy. I like the 14" rim/tyre combo I have now. I can drive at 80 kph (50 mph) and the lower engine revs just makes driving the mini truck easier. I got a lot of ideas from 'Motocheez' Channel - he has some great stuff on Mini Trucks.
