@@jokerzwild00 you missed the plot chief. but thanks for stating the obvious. It's much more likely to happen in the military because even when cars are expensive to buy, the lowliest enlisted can save their money on average better than the average blue collar individual in the working class. couple that with a well funded military and you end up with 19 year old kids who think they can easily afford cars worth 15-20-30k USD.. But their minds are young like 19 year olds. So they buy the car and then PCS and it sits in a lemon lot, their old duty station, or a random parking spot on post for years and years rotting away. I single out americans because this is most likely going to be how it happens. Obviously it happens regardless when people don't care enough or can't afford to keep the car nice.

I get that whole numbers move around in your head. I too failed algebra freshman year of high school. It wasn't because I didn't understand the concepts. They all made perfect sense to me. I had (and still do have) a really strong grasp of the concepts of algebra. I just couldn't keep numbers straight to save my life. I would drop negative signs or just randomly change numbers between steps without even realizing it. I was tested for dyslexia and they determined that I did not have dyslexia, which I don't. However, the only other conclusion they could come to as to why I was failing algebra with a strong grasp of the concepts was that it was an effort problem and I wasn't trying hard enough. To this day, 10 years later, I am still upset about that. I worked my ass off to make sure I got the right answer on homework assignments and tests doing each problem maybe 4 or 5 times and comparing my work to ensure that I didn't change numbers or drop a sign somewhere.

It was 1995 they got caught and banned from WRC (Group A). Also fuel tank is 68 litres (not 64), they do have alternator cooling as you partially reference but your review car is missing the ducting (and the turbo and manifold heat shielding too). Bonus info; 2500 of the homologation cars Toyota built in 1994 also had a bunch of rally extras for use as group N cars; Turbo Anti-lag (fresh air bypass to exhaust manifold), inlet manifold water injection and heat exchanger water spray bar. :)

ST205 is a real monster. I own an AT200, it's N/A and only has 115hp but weights much less than the ST205 because it's FWD. And i'm in LOVE with it. It's a really fun car to drive, not really fast on open roads but a real challenge on twisty roads, where you can keep up with much more powerful cars due to the excellent chassis and the lightweight of it. It's also really prone to oversteering, so even though it's a FWD car there's no constant feel of understeer at all. In fact when you get to hot into a corner you have to be careful not to get the tail out! If you don't believe me that's fine, just drive one on a twisty road and you'll get it. But you'll still be smoked by miles at any pull in a straight line lol.

I got between 36-42 mpg and that was with the go-pedal stuck deep into the carpet pretty much all the time. Life changed and I needed a truck, but I miss that car and think about it at least once a week. I can afford to import one of these now, but I just don't have the time in my life anymore for a weird car.

In case you don't understand this; the Brits love their rallying as much as the US love their oval racing, also because of Sainz, rallying was at the time, bigger than F1 in Spain due to his successes in WRC. Because the UK had never won a driver's title, that season became a big deal to them as McRae was their biggest hope to a title.

It was 3am on my 16th birthday, I walked to a petrol station with my brother to buy chrisps. We bump into a friend-of-a-friend who had one and he takes me for a lap up and around the area, Boy it was an experience. Partly because it had 4wd and launched HARD with a blueprinted engine making *all the boost* and 480whp (~600crank), But also partly because I was pissed as a newt from drinking multiple beers and whiskeys. I managed to keep it down as we went up a fast loop in the wet faster than you'd think possible as it popped and banged lighting the side of the road yellow from flames on the gear changes. I had never known or cared about this car until that day. As drunk as I was I still remember it well, We got back to the garage 4 mintues later and I practically fell out the door laughing like a lunatic. Good times.
