1997 Mazda B2300 Transmission Mount Replacement - Manual M5OD

In this video I change the transmission Mount on my 1997 Mazda B2300 with 5 speed manual transmission.
Reason for replacing the transmission Mount was my truck jolting/jerking every time I would downshift or let off the gas at high rpms. Transmission Mount is the original, so after 25 years and 200,000 miles, it’s a good time to swap it out.
Pretty simple procedure with the right tools and floor jack. Took about 20 mins to swap out.
Should be similar steps and process for all Ford Rangers and Mazda B-Series trucks from 1988-2011 that had the M5OD manual transmission.

Thanks man. Yeah I would check to see if the rubber on the sides is cracking like mine was. Definitely was a big improvement on ride quality changing that out

Worked great for me!! Great video!!! Except my hurst short throw shifter hits my dash in 1st, 3rd and 5th now with the new mount. Even with My front stop on the shifter maxed out... hopefully the new engine mounts will even it out?😂

Did it make big improvements changing it? Appreciate the ranger/Mazda truck content . Your way is easier than removing the entire brace ! What’s torque spec on the bolts an nuts

Yeah I noticed it out helped with the jolt I would feel when down shifting after changing it

You can just Jack the transmission up without disconnecting it from the clutch or driveshaft? There’s enough tolerance?
