1998 Cavalier thermostat replacement 2.4 (it sucks, but it's not impossible)

I looked up the labor time for replacing the thermostat in this 1998 cavalier and when it saw it was 2 hours, I knew I was going to be in for a ride. And what a ride it was. So sit back and come along for the ride as I go along for the original ride which was when I saw the labor time and knew I was going for a ride.
