As good and as respected as Everts is, he couldn't match Tortelli, and usually wilted when Sebastien passed him. Too bad Tortelli didn't stay in Europe.

I beleive Tortelli was at or near his peak when he went to the states, so it is a shame he didn't stay to defend his title. After his 1st round in the U.S Outdoor, I honestly thought he would walk the title in '99
