I thought this was an actual Harley Reveal and I got so excited. Idk why they haven’t jumped on the scrambler craze.

Absolute magic. Could never justify the cost of one of these builds, (not a criticism, just an observation based on an hour of my labour) but this particular one is brilliant. A lot of the time they leave me a bit meh' but that is because each is built for a particular individual and its what he/ she/ they want. Fucking magic.

Thanks, it’s nice to hear someone that understands the process of these projects, and the cost involved.

What has caught my ears and eye is that these HD Sportsters are had between $2500 and $3500 and to build it out is very In-expensive mostly chasing down parts that someone else has done. This bike is expensive, but gives me ideas as I look at this. I own several adventure bikes already.

That tail suits it so well. What an awesome build all round Great to see that you take all the lessons learned on previous bikes and apply it to new builds. Constant growth 👌

Great work. I have been dreaming of a bike like this. For me twin round front headlights with grills and extra fuel space under the seat with a Mad Max aesthetic would be perfection. The retro and modern mix with the sharp racy tail is so well executed.

This looks insane man. Watching wide of the mark inspired me so much I bought a Suzuki gn ‘93 in crates for a steal and have been building it by myself with a little help from a bike mechanic, another week or two and it’ll be ready to ride…have loved every step of it, as frustrating as some of it has been..being my first bike haha So stoked Cheers!

This thing is incredible man! Just wanted to ask, the bolts that hold in the carb are also breather bolts to release crankcase pressure; are you routing that some other way? Just to make sure you dont have problems down the road. But honestly your builds are way too clean. Really refreshing to see something so different to what everyone else is doing with these. Have an 03 and absolutely love it. Cheers from Puerto Rico & keep killing it man!

Hey Carlos, Yes the breather hoses are routed up under the tank and run out to near the chain. Appreciate you checking this out!

Thinking about combining the forward portion of your filter system. Relocate switch and coil. But could a standard filler box be worked into the system? Remove the filter, remove the standard intake, narrow the outside face of the box sits further in. The local brains trust say it would ruin the air flow into the throttle body (2013 883). I've swapped to a Supertrapp exhaust and now I can't help but notice how much the air box sticks out. I like your idea but maybe there is a more stylish was to connect to the throttle body.
@PurposeBuiltMoto2 жыл бұрын
If you figure out s better idea I'd love to see it. Our airflow was spot on with the bike running good HP numbers and great throttle responce.

Where is the kickstand? Is it really all that practical to build an off road motorcycle without having to drag around a back wheel support stand? Or am i missing the part about a kickstand modification for the added ground clearance?
@PurposeBuiltMoto18 күн бұрын
The bike has a side stand. Something is insignificant as lengthening a side stand doesn’t really warrant a mention on a job like this. That’s why it’s not talked about.
@mlocic4118 Жыл бұрын
Very nice! What did you do to accommodate the geometry of the chain with the taller rear suspension?

No, there was a bit of fitting required. Nothing we couldn't handle though, not too difficult. If you're heading into a USD fork swap, check out this article we wrote to help people out. purposebuiltmoto.com/motorcycle-usd-fork-swap-everything-you-need-to-know/

You guys make awesome bikes, but your videos are boring. This one is typical, where you have 5 minutes of GoPro footage of the bike traveling on boring roads. You should at minimum have a hard acceleration, from stop, through at least a few of the gears. Also, show some snap accelerations from low to mid cruising speeds.
@PurposeBuiltMoto3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback, I might try work a bit of that in. I just don’t really like thrashing the ass off my clients bikes haha
