I have watched Voss's career and even crossed lanes with him in the El Paso Open in 1991...this was his best performance IMHO. He should have at minimum 10 more titles, but just never was able secure them.

Brian never once allowed the 7-10 split to affect him, he knew he couldn't against dead eye.

He still needed 2 pins to win. If that's all you need to clinch the tournament, I'd throw it straight at the head pin too. He needed a pretty extreme angle on his strike shot.....just a couple boards right off his hand and it's in the gutter. No need to chance it at that point.

Without that pocket 7-10 Voss could have very well had a chance at shooting 300.

I think u misstundestood me because I'm not native speaker. He stuck at the foulline. This normally automatically leads to a few other things like e.g. missing the target inside or outside and more or less rotation/loft/speed. In some cases the sum of the consequences will be exactly "0". In those cases you'll hit the pocket allthough you didn't bowl well (even on a hard-sportshot). But however, everything you wrote was correct. Greets

I wouldn't agree... sometimes a bunch of mistakes compensate for themselves. e.g. when you rotate around the ball to much AND because of that you lose ballspeed AND therefore miss your target to the right.
