Dude those beeps in your sound kept having me looking for smoke detectors that needed batteries!! Sounded like it was coming from the hall behind my TV.

That was a great informative video. I really learned a lot as I have been out of boats for about 15 years, but getting the bug back. All your set ups are exactly how I would do mine. Great work BTW.

Hey Dwayne did you ever change the nav/bow light? If you know how help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Dwayne; I gotta say Kudos on a job well done! Super job with some quality upgrades and done properly from all I can see. I have no doubt you've sold this boat but I still wanted to comment. I've owned several Sea-Doos Waverunners but never took the boat plunge. Just went straight to 24 foot Regal 6.8 Ventura with a 7.4 liter Mercruiser. Just curious how much you were asking for this package deal and what you sold it for? Really nice job.Three thumbs up IMHO. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Appreciate any post sale information you'd be willing share? Wm. ~

Hello Wm. I sold the boat in 2015 to someone who sold the boat again in 2018. I actually saw the boat still in use and good shape in May of 2020.

Great video. But you took the time to do all that..and don’t take 5 mins to change battery in your smoke alarm that beeps every 3 seconds.

Great video the kids were great. I just bought a 1998 1800 sportster there are several switches on the console pump, vent, the one I'm confused with is the gas pump switch. It really isn't an on/off switch wonder if you could help

Great upgrades !!! Did you connect the wires of custom accessories by yourself ? Sorry for bad English.

Thanks Marco. Yes I make all of the electronics modifications myself.

Nice informative video! Lots of upgrades and details. I was just wondering what you used for the beverage/cooler compartment hinges? The oem ones will not be worth replacing, I'd rather use some type of stainless steel ones that won't water stain. If you can help please let me know
@dwaynemott4 жыл бұрын
Hello Nathan, It has been awhile since I had this boat, but from what I remember, I used stainless hinges for the beverage compartment area.

Thanks. Glad you liked the vid. 👍🏽 I sold this boat and purchased a 2012 C180 SE 260HP in 2014. Maybe i'll make another video showing all of the nice upgrades I added to the newer one.

Did this boat come with two batteries? I have a 97 and want to know where the other battery is located. Thanks
@dwaynemott4 жыл бұрын
I placed an extra battery in this boat, along with a dual battery selector switch. Another item I never mentioned nor showed in the video was that I also replaced the OEM impellers with Skat-Track performance impellers along with the performance wear-rings. The fit between the impeller and wear-ring was nearly line to line with zero gap between. I used a technique of warming the jet pump assembly and freezing the wear ring to get things to fit. The impellers were installed afterward with the same technique.

@@dwaynemott hey Dwayne, I have a 98 Challenger 1800, and I was just told I should not use the Second Battery Switch because it is duo motors and that could ruin the MPEG, did you have to add anything special besides the "add-on-battery switch and the automatic charging relay" . The diagrams only shows how to connect to a single engine. Thanks

Is it use gas only or you need to mix oil
@bennycormier9732 жыл бұрын
Hi Dwayne, very good video. I am thinking of getting one of these to play with and wandering if you had any issues, the price you sold it for if you can mention it, and 1 last question for you, wandering if they're noisy and annoying when you are running in the lake? Hoping other from you! Thanking you in advance, Benny
@dwaynemott2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Benny. To answer your questions. 1. The boat ran fine if the maintenance was kept up to date. It did require quite a bit more maintenance than I preferred like keeping the carbs clean and free of debris, and ensuring the cooling and oiling systems were in good worning order. Keep in mind the maintenance was for two engines. I eventually purchased one of the 250HP 4tec versions afterward to reduce the amount of maintenance. 2. I don't remember the sales price. 3. The motors were jet ski engines that could rev quite high which meant they were louder than normal. It wasn't unberable if you used the additional motor cover Seadoo provided with these boats. I never used mine making my boat seem louder than what it would normally be.

Nice upgrades I know this video is old but what the ol girls top speed?
@dwaynemott3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rick. I changed the stock impellers for performance ones which gave it wicked acceleration but sacrificed top end speed. It would top out around 50MPH.
