1999 Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0 V6 24v RHD

This is almost the perfect car! It is a 1999 Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0 V6 24v Lusso, Finished in Vela Blue with Tan Leather Interior, 1 owner since the car was 1 month old and 40k Miles on the Clock. The perfect car in the perfect colours but the car has been stored for the last few years and the paint has deteriorated to the point where it needs attention.
The Pininfarina-designed Alfa Romeo GTV and Spider entered production in 1993; the convertible Spider came first, with the hard-top Gran Turismo Veloce (or ‘Fast Grand Touring’) following a year later. Initially only available with either a two-litre Twin Spark (148bhp, 0-60mph in 8.4 seconds and 134mph) or the turbocharged two-litre V6 engine (197bhp, 7.4 secs and 146mph) , the GTV was eventually blessed with what many consider to be Alfa’s best and most charismatic motor, the three-litre, 24-valve Busso V6 engine in 1998. Driving the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox, the Italian firm claimed a 0-60 time of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 150mph for the 218bhp, 199lb/ft V6 GTV. Two facelifts, in 1998 and 2003, tweaked a few of the details and added a 1.8-litre engine but left the basic recipe unchanged, which is hardly surprising as the first full year of production saw it sweep the board with titles such as ‘The World’s Most Beautiful Automobile’, ‘1995 Car of the Year’ and ‘Best Car to Drive’ being bestowed upon it. The GTV was finally laid to rest in 2005, with the Spider dying a year later. Our car was purchased from Bell & Colvill by its last owner in May 1999 when the car was 1 month old and has been in his posession ever since! She has an advisory free MOT until December 2024 and is showing a genuine 40k Miles from new. The car comes with its Original handbook, wallet and associated booklets and was supplied new by Bell & Colvill. We have the Original Alfa Romeo Certificate of Conformity and Service book stamped to 32k, with invoices and receipts for some maintenance carried out since. The car is in Stunning Vela Blue which needs attention on most panels but the interior is beautiful and whilst the car is due a service at the moment, she drives great and is ready to go. This car would be double this price if the paint was sorted and the car serviced, neither of which we are geared up to do, so this is a real opportunity to someone to add value!
