I know I'm in the minority, but I wish there was more demand for wagons in the US market. Very cool review
@doug6191Ай бұрын
There's tons of demand for wagons. Atlas, Highlander, Traverse, Palisade, Pilot, Explorer... People *love* wagons. They just refuse to acknowledge they're driving a wagon.

This is one of those cars that you first learned about in Gran Turismo 4. That game has a lot of obscure European and Japanese cars that those in the west never heard of.
@My_Old_YT_AccountАй бұрын

Love the video but you've got a couple of things wrong: AWD stageas have the same suspension architecture as a 33 GTR aside for the lower rear arm, it has a different shock mount point (the Stagea is based on an AWD C33 laurel floor pan so there are other minor differences, like an overall weaker drivline compared to the GTR) Only the RWD Stageas have the same style front suspension as a Silvia. Also, RB30's did come out in Skylines, they were sold as R31's in Australia and South Africa (I think). And while its not a skyline, the RB30 was also avaliable in a Holden VL Commodore which was the only car to come with an RB30 and a factory turbo option. This made converting R31's to turbo much easier. And to answer your question about what this car can't do: Because its based on the C33 Laurel AWD system, it does not have the option to wire in a switch to turn off the centre diff meaning you can never run it in RWD for drifting. If this was converted using an R32 GTR transmission, this would be possible. Alternatively you could just pull the front shaft but once it comes out, it's way too much fun to bother putting it back in.

Nice. Stageas are underrated. A Stagea is on the short list of JDM cars I want to import. It's fun and practical. It's a shame Nissan didn't think the American market would appreciate the Skyline family.
@LusoiHardwareАй бұрын
@bwofficial1776 I agree with you. I was going to import one but the issue of rust with 90's Nissans made me change my mind. I don't have someone in Japan to look at them before I place a bid. I already got a Legacy GTB that was rough and needed some TLC.

It's particularly baffling that the M35 Stagea wasn't brought in alongside the V35 Infiniti G35 sedan as an Infiniti!

One of the best Nissans ever made. But also sadly short lived. Tons of space. The trunk in those. This 1st generation even got an optional lift in the back to lift up your bycicle! You should´ve shown more of the trunk! But other than that great review. Side note: Yes the R33 is a R32 just improved - more or less. Not sure about the radio but there were factory Stageas with those remote controls. Haha that shouting part. 😄 Little funfacts if someone wonders: The "NEO" on the engine stands for "Nissan Ecology Oriented" and is for emissions as Zack mentioned. This was also used in the NEO VVL SR engines. The "VICS" (on the device on the dashboard) stands for "Vehicle Information And Communication System". This is for navigation.

Australia built Nissan Skyline R31, with the RB30 motor and Holden used it in the Commodore and Commodore Turbo. Amazing cars. I bought a Skyline for $500.00 dollars and it was the most fun I had for years, until it spun out in the rain, and I lost my nerve. I was going to give it to my son. I didn’t think it was a wise idea. So I sold it. Booo.
