Pantera had already broken up when Dimebag was murdered. He and his brother Vinnie were playing in a band called Damage Plan when the killing took place. I believe the shooter was mad at Dime for leaving Pantera and that's why he did what he did. Vinnie (Dime's brother and the Drummer for Pantera) went on to play in a band called HellYeah with the singer from Mudvayne. Unfortunately, he too passed away recently from heart disease. About a month ago, the two surviving members of Pantera, Phil (singer) and Rex (bassist) have announced a reunion tour. Zack Wylde of Ozzy Osbourne fame and Charlie Benante from Anthrax will take the place of the two Abbot brothers. I would like to suggest you listen to Pantera's "Domination" Live in Moscow to really showcase Dimebag and Vinnie's talents. That has to be one of the top 5 metal performances of all time.

How can ANYONE enjoy any of the music or video when we cant hear a damn thing thats going on because you talk during the WHOLE thing! Sorry guys, not trying to diss your channel....just passing along constructive crticism. There were 4 killed that night total by the crazy dude. It was Dimebag's and brother Vinnie Paul's new band "Damage Plan" that was playing that night. They had just started their set...30 seconds into it, when he started his shooting rampage.
