I've had a 2.0 6spd dart for a work car for 2yrs now, put over 35k on ot myself, having got it at 100k. I'm a Chevy guy but been very impressed with it for what it is. Have had zero trouble and I average 37mpg. Has much quiter smoother ride than the other little stick shift work cars I've used through the years. Its comfortable with all the modern conveniences most expect anymore.

I have been having these problems as of recently, only own the dart for a year. I have done so far, Ignition Coils, Spark plugs, And even had the dealership and other look at it without finding where the problem stems from, and it only effects one cylinder, Mainly Number 3. We have not done fuel injection or replace the gas pump, but it have all the problems you have stated, rough start, poor performance and just stalling out while driving, along with misfiring and traction control kicking on.

Bought my daughter a 2014 Dart GT loaded in ‘15. It’s served her well for 111 K miles, replacing struts, motor mounts, evap canister, plugs and Serpentine belt now. It’s going up for sale soon and it’s going to be a great car for the next 100K. Look around there a a TON of them still around, it’s a wonderful car.

You forgot the #1 problem with all dodge darts that every single owner has done. The design flaw with the upper motor mounts. That only last maybe 30 000km max until the boots rip and leak the oil out and your making metal to metal contact with the mount. Only had to do it 3 times now.

Our back up camera will be upside down most of the time took it in for service under warranty and they couldn’t figure it out any ideas

good info! with the few recalls i've experienced with this car (couple in 2022 for transmission, and one this year: U90) I feel like Dodge has revitalized this car. I've had mine 8 years with about 103k mi (80k were mine) and it has never felt better. Keep regular oil changes and tires/brakes/bearings and the other engine stuff will last a while. biggest issue i've experienced is that it's hard to pump gas. takes a while becuase it stops and starts constantly. I've got some troubleshooting to do but I'll be maintaining the parts in this video afterwards and it should be good to go another few years.

Man... these darts have a... can't even call it an overheating problem. We'll go with... it has a little too hot of an engine. The temp gauge will creep above the halfway mark but the fans kick on an it goes back down. It's more of a mental problem. It's not fun seeing the gauge move like that. But nobody that I know of has been able to find a fix for it.

Yes, Wear items get worn. Things need to be replaced. The steering angle sensor doesn't go bad, just recalibrated by turning the wheel. Quirky dodge thing that happens when you disconnect the battery.

Also make sure your ground connection it’s clean and tight. You might even want to add another ground cable. Mine was running super rough at idle and did that to it and now she’s perfect.

Mines at 70k miles, and has done pretty well. It was a rental car before I bought it so they might have dealt with the initial issues. The big thing for me is how low it is, splash plate broke and I had it replaced and that broke too. Be aware 😅

Yupp all easy fix. Never had a steering angle sensor problem tho so idk how long till i get it.

Good luck diagnosing that PO299 underboost code on the turbo models especially the manual model like mine. The result is that it is alright but the car is slightly underpowered to pull a full load at normal NA gearing. Give her more beans than you think she needs. The 1.4L is an italian design and it likes to rev. Not my preference because I feel like i'm hurting it.

I have 15 dart sxt 4 cylinder Im having issues with fuel gauges The needle will read 3/4 of tank almost full but it says has only 90 miles left and filled tank with gas wouldn't take no more tgan 20. And needle didn't go to full tank Is this a fuel pump sending unit issue or a mechanical or electrical part problem

Only experience ive had with these is needing a new engine before 100k miles...and seeing them on the side of the road...

Bought a 2013 Dart Rallye with 108,000 on the odometer. Car is a little bad ass!! I've had it 7 months and have put 8,000 on it with no mechanical flaws whatsoever. Only problem I had was the previous owner was a raging moron and had no business under the hood of a car!! They rerouted a water line for some reason and a metal bracket wore through the hose causing a leak. The water leak shorted out the knock sensor and I had to replace that. Aside from an idiot thinking they were a mechanic, the car is solid as a rock. Anyone who claims the Dart is garbage or a "2nd generation Neon" do not know what they are talking about and are only repeating what someone said online. Listen to the people who drive them, not some keyboard warrior. No, they did not sell well when new, but people are realizing these little cars are beasts! Used car dealerships can not keep them on the lot. I live in a very small town (7,500 people) and I had the first Dart in town.... now there are 4 of them and all of us agree that it is a very good car.

I sold Dodge Darts. Nobody wanted these and Dodge couldn't get rid of them to save their lives. Even after Dodge discontinued them, they stayed on the local lots FOR TWO YEARS. Yes, they suck *that bad*

Do not buy this car.. My international friend bought this car for 6k in Canada and not even a week later it broke down. He towed for $130 and the car costs $9k quote to fix the car from mechanic. He spent all his savings on the car and now doesn't know what to do. Absolute terrible car to drive! DO NOT BUY USED MODELS 2013-2015
