I ACTUALLY had this problem about a month ago. The drug addict mechanic THOUGHT it was the power steering pump; but it turned out to be the alternator. TRUE STORY: He changed the power steering pump, and this exact noise was still going. Then, he told me that it has to be a pulley or a tensioner. He took all the tensioners and pulleys off, and the noise was STILL going. He even had me waste another $32 on a pulley. He told me to come back the next day with an alternator, and he would put it on FOR FREE. I came back the next day, and he told me that he would not be able to get to it, because he had other vehicles, that had priority over mine. He told me to check back the next day. I checked back the next day, and he didn't even open up the shop. Mufuka made me late on my bills.
