Thought you should only check the oil level when the car is off to let the oil settle down 🤔. Why turn the car on for a few seconds? Isn't that going to give a false reading until the oil settles down again?

When I open the oil cap the oil is almost at the top. Is this normal? My dipstick is reading slightly low. Yes I have the right cap and yes I have checked the manual. I may just do an oil change and see what’s up but my oil is still clean

If my check engine light cane on does that mean I should try to change the oil im changing the oil today to see if it helps

I wouldn't want to use an oil cap to block a hood from closing, why not get into the habit of visual check every thing is put back where they should be before closing the hood!?

I just did an oil change today on my 1999 GS300 and found out the mechanic put in 10W-40 oil😅
